Green Jobs And Employment Available

We use to call these new green jobs - blue collar jobs.  However, with massive amount of stimulus money floating around and the push for green; available opportunities in a green workforce are in high demand. 

The Federal Government is behind the new title "Green Jobs".  When the Feds invested $25 billion dollars for green technology it open up these new green opportunities.  Below are some green job titles that are in high demand.  

Here are some examples of green opportunities available:

• Green building retrofitting which can include jobs like energy auditor, green carpenter, and insulation installer. These jobs are green because they can cut our energy usage.
• Mass transit and transportation which can include jobs like environmental sampling technician, rail track layers, bus/train operator, and urban planner. These jobs are green because they can result our carbon output.
• Renewable Energy which can include jobs like wind turbine machinist, solar installer, PV installer, iron worker, steel worker, and solar energy designer. These jobs are green because they can our energy usage.
• Public utilities which can include jobs like recycle center operator, waste water engineer, and water quality consultant. These jobs are green because they help us manage our waste.

Many of the companies looking for green employees are willing to provide training.  Other companies are not requiring a special degree to get the job.  All of these new jobs are the direct response to the US push for green technology and our stimulus money at work.
