Many Health Benefits of Green Tea

Think with me of some of the many benefits of green tea!

  • · "If you are cold, tea will warm you;
  • · If you are too heated, it will cool you;
  • · If you are depressed, it will cheer you;
  • · If you are exhausted, it will calm you."

-William Gladstone - (taken from …Tea Poetry)

Someone once said that drinking green tea every day would starve your doctor! I don’r buy that hyperbole, but I do believe that tea is healthy!

Today, a range of health benefits of green tea are constantly being detailed and many scientists are now centering their attention on the simple, yet pleasingly profound beverage called green tea. One of these green tea benefits is aiding in the prevention of cancer. Green tea is also known to have health benefits of weight loss and the prevention of skin cancer. Green tea consumption at sensible doses may be connected with a reduced danger of type 2 diabetes by better controlling postprandial hyperglycemia (after meal high sugar levels in the blood). The precise source of type 2 diabetes is not known, but it is well-known that the risk of developing it may be abridged by staying active and maintaining a healthy body weight.

Extracts of green tea are among the most broadly used earliest medicinal agents. These extracts are being used by multitudes of folks for a broad range of health conditions. In supposition, scientists deem that the weight loss benefits of green tea and its extracts are due to their caffeine content but the results of the study may show otherwise that green tea extracts have weight loss benefits past that of caffeine. Many believe that supplements containing green tea extracts are a completely natural way of reducing weight with very little risk of any side effects.

A number of beneficial health effects are accredited to regular drinking of green tea. Also, the dried and powdered extracts of green tea are available as dietary supplements. It is believed by many that you can get more potent antioxidants by taking these supplements. Regardless, green tea is also used to treat poor digestion, constipation and also helps to fight against the free radicals in the body.
