Intoduction To Green Tea Moisturizer

Why choose a green tea moisturizer? For the average person, probably any facial moisturizer out there will do, but for those of us with slightly more problematic skin, we need to be careful about the selections we make. One type of skin cream that I have grown to really love is the green tea moisturizer. I tend to be prone to acne breakouts and have difficulty with many facial moisturizers as they seem to clog up the pores in my skin on my face. It’s a daily battle between trying to cleanse my skin without over-drying and trying to moisturize without causing my skin to feel like I’m wearing a greasy mask. I find that green tea moisturizers have a very light texture and blend in very nicely with my skin, not leaving behind a filmy feeling.

Green Tea Moisturizer Info

Green tea moisturizers all have the following one common ingredient: green tea leaf extract, a powerful antioxidant that cleanses and detoxifies your skin, also protecting it from free-radicals. From there, you can find any number of combinations to best suite what your skin needs. For really sensitive or acne prone skin, try to keep it as simple as possible. One green tea moisturizer combines green tea extract with organic aloe vera to soothe and nourish the skin. Another I’ve found combines the antioxidant qualities of the green tea leaf with the healing qualities of pomegranate to provide a thorough detoxification. There are also many home-made green tea moisturizer recipes available, but some of the ingredients may be hard to find and could wind up being pricier than if you had splurged on these ultra light moisturizers to begin with.

Green Tea Moisturizer Costs

Which brings me to my third point, price. Any quality facial moisturizer can cost you a pretty penny or two, but we tend to be willing to spend that extra dollar when looking for something specific. Although green tea moisturizers tend to be pricier than the common facial cream, it is so versatile that you can use this line in place of many other higher priced remedies. The light texture is perfect for wrinkles as it doesn’t cake onto your skin. The antioxidants of the green tea alone act as a natural alternative for giving your skin a younger appearance.  As I’ve said before, if you tend to be prone to acne, you can also use the green tea moisturizer as part of your daily routine since it is so light and pure. It also works very well under make-up since it is quickly absorbed and leaves behind no oily sheen.
