A lot of people have heard about the technique of green tea weight loss but not a lot of people have explored it. Or else they just write it off because it sounds so hokey. I mean, what could green tea do for anybody? It seems like every time you turn around nowadays green tea is being implicated in some new health scam.

What is this, the end all be all of drugs? Maybe instead of hospitals we should just have green tea dispensaries! Well folks I am glad to tell you that in terms of using green tea for weight loss nothing could be further from the truth. Maybe there is a reason why this plant has been so treasured in Asia for thousands of years. Maybe they realized that it actually does aid in many of the body’s healthier functions. Just a thought. Anyway, I will show you the real science and go into even more depth about using this for losing weight throughout the article. We are going to give a whole lot of information so that you’ll be an expert before you know it.

First of all I just want to give you a pep talk. In order to do something as drastic as lose weight and keep it off you must be willing to try different things out until something works. This should go without saying but I know from my own experience that this takes reminding. Using green tea for weight loss is a great thing to do, especially in addition to other activities and diets. It is healthy so it has my seal of approval. Why do you think green tea or the extract of it is listed in the ingredients of so many diet pills? The rest of the stuff may be junk (unhealthy) but this one tea is very proven.

Various different doctors and scientists have already proven that green tea weight loss is real by showing that it burns about 75 calories a day when you drink five cups. Its polyphenols activate an enzyme which destroys excess triglyceride. That is how it works. Some of this is dues to the caffeine content and some is due to a thing called epigallocatechin (EGCG). Both working in conjunction is what really gets the pounds falling off. That is why this renowned chemical has been popular for so long in much of the world. Those old cultures already realized how many great properties were contained herein.

Now I am not going to promise you a rose garden or anything. The fact is that if you are obese and all you are doing to counteract that is drinking some green tea every day then you are almost definitely going to remain more or less at your current weight. I don’t mean to discourage you. You can always try it out and maybe get lucky. But it is not really proven to work at that level of things.

Even with a person who is moderately overweight they should probably plan on using green tea weight loss theory to supplement other things. Some sort of healthy and low calorie diet is a good way to start. It is also quite important to get regular exercise. Get a schedule and stick to it. Discipline and lack thereof is probably the number one reason people are not successful at losing weight. The fact is there are a plethora of good ideas out there, but you can’t necessarily gain their advantage if you lack the discipline to perform them regularly. I mean come on people.

So this brings us back to the appeal of green tea for weight loss. Obviously its appeal is that it is easy. And make no mistakes people, drinking a few cups of this stuff on a regular basis is just about the easiest “diet” method ever conceived by man (at least of those which have proved to have some merit). So even if you are not doing anything else to get healthier I still do advocate for drinking it on a regular basis. What’s the worst that can happen? It doesn’t work and you’re out a few measly bucks. So what; at least you found out that it alone is not enough for you. Green tea is not expensive at all, and how hard is it to drink a cup for breakfast, lunch, and dessert while watching the TV?

Remember always that your life is in your own hands. Your weight, as difficult and adversarial as it may be, can always be approached through a new angle. If you haven’t tried the green tea weight loss technique then I think it is high time you did. It is really just about the easiest way to make an attempt. And on top of that it is very healthy and has many other side benefits. It is truly a win win situation.
