Green Tea is the most popular Asian drink because of it is loaded with health benefits.Green this has a lot of antioxidant. The antioxidant that is present in Green tea are bioflavinoids known as polyphenols, and the specific type polyphenol found in green tea is catechin. The tea variety that is used in making green tea is Camella Sinensis.

Tea does not contain tannins. It is the polyphenols that give it the acrid taste that reminds us of tannins.

About half of the polyphenol found in green tea are Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), the most biologically active polyphenol.

  • Green Tea also contain amino acid, threonine, carotenoid, chlorophyll, proanthocyanidin.
  • Bioflavinoids - an active substance found in plants and is essential in strengthening the walls of small blood vessels.
  • Threonine - is beneficial in the formation of collagen and elastin. Helps the liver and maintain the body's proteins in balance.
  • Proanthocyanidin - this substance can also be found in grape extract.

Green tea, Oolong tea and Black tea are all made from Camella Sinensis, the only difference is how they are processed.

Green tea - made from camella sinensis, this plant is picked and dried without fermentation, preserving the original catechin content to remain intact. Green tea contain 30% to 42% catechins.

Oolong tea - made from a semi fermented camella sinensis plant. Oolong tea contains 8% to 20% catechins.

Black tea - made by crushing the camella sinensis plant, then it is dried to allow fermentation to take place. Black tea contains 3 to 10% catechins.

Green tea can protect against :

  • Breast, lung, colon, liver, intestinal and stomach cancer.
  • It has an antibacterial effect against harmful digestive bacteria.
  • It inhibits viruses, such as HIV, Hepatitis and herpes.
  • Powerful antioxidant.

Green tea has increasingly become a very popular drink worldwide because of its immensely powerful health benefits. It is extraordinarily amazing what green tea can do for your health. And if you're not drinking 3 to 4 cups of green tea today, you're definitely NOT doing your health a big favor.
