I was talking to a friend on Yahoo Instant Messenger one evening, when he came up with a "Wow!!! I've just found a version of Metallica's, The Unforgiven, covered by a group of monks, called Gregorian". I tentatively looked this up, and double WOW... this group is fantastic. They not only do chants but cover a lot of pop music as well, including Stairway to Heaven, Bridge Over Troubled Water and Brothers in Arms.

I found an official site for them and looked up all their music... they've covered so many songs, that I got really wrapped in them. I watched heaps of videos on YouTube and picked out a couple of favourites. I bought CDs online, and put them all on my Yahoo Jukebox. I love them so much, I even picked a couple out and put them on my 360 Blog.

Well, being pagan, I couldn't help there was a CD called, The Dark Side, and I was curious as to why these monks would record such a CD, but boy, did I ever find the answer. The Dark Side includes covers of My Immortal, by Evanescence, and other darker music. So, I went on a search of You Tube and came across their version of U2's With or Without You. This was a live performance, staged at Castle Kreuzenstein, Vienna, which has become my favourite Gregorian rendition. I thought I'd share it with you all... see what you think after watching the video. If you have an open mind about music then I guarantee, this will knock your socks off! :)
