Ultimate Hot Dog

These dogs are easy to make and everyone loves them, especially tail-gaters!

4 large hot dogs                                  chedder cheese, cut into long strips

2 tablespoons of onion,chopped        1 cup of sauerkraut,drained

4 slices of turkey bacon                      vegetable spray

4 hot dog buns                                    ketchup, mustard and mayo(miracle whip)

Pre-heat grill to medium high.Mix together sauerkraut with the chopped onion and set to the side. Slice open the hot dogs, lengthwise, forming a deep pocket but do not cut all the way through.Place a cut strip of the chedder cheese in pocket.Top the hot dog with the sauerkraut and onion mixture.Making sure the mixture is covering the cheese so none is exposed(otherwise the cheese will drip out when grilling).Wrap a strip or two of turkey bacon around each hot dog and secure the bacon with toothpicks.

Coat grill surface with vegetable spray(olive oil also works good).Place the hot dogs on the grill, stuffing side down, grill @ two minutes. Turn the hot dogs a quarter of a turn and grill @ two minutes more.Repeat on all sides until turkey bacon is cooked through.Close lid on grill between each turn to help cook the bacon.

Once the bacon is cooked, remove the toothpicks and serve on toasted bun with ketchup, mustard or mayo(I perfer miracle whip).
