Grimi Steam Cooker

Versatile and Healthy

It is said, “Variety is the spice of life.” Food being the vast cosmos that it is allows for a tremendous diversity of selection, preparation and style of consumption. By serving as a combination steamer, poacher and rice cooker, the Grimi Steam Cooker PC53 does its best to support the principles of diversity and versatility. (That’s three pots for the price and clean-up time of one, folks.)

The Grimi Steam Cooker is the healthy way to go and by utilizing steam rather than fat or oil, you can prepare an entire healthy meal in the baskets provided at the same time. The baskets allow you to steam or poach fish, vegetables, poultry, fruit, egg dishes, dumplings, cakes and heretofore foods unexplored and waiting. The food is never burnt as the steam engulfs it from all angles allowing the heat to penetrate evenly. Both the cover and the baskets are dishwasher-safe. (The base is not.) Made in Italy, the Grimi Steamer comes with 3 stainless steel baskets: two for steaming and 1 for poaching and a 3-year warranty

The baskets of the Grimi Steamer lend to the overall versatility of the appliance because their unique oval shape easily accommodates taller vegetables such as asparagus, corn on the cob and hot dogs. The Grimi Steamer is also extremely easy to use. Simply pour in the liquid, place food in the basket and set the timer (up to two hours). The Grimi Steamer, like a slow cooker, will shut itself off when finished. (It is, as you can see, is also a very considerate appliance.)

Most consumer reviews liked the two-tier cooking provided by the Grimi Steamer. The major complaint concerns the time it takes to create sufficient heat. Most claim about 15 minutes are required, which can be a lot of time when one’s stomach is growling about what it needs.

Still, the Grimi Steamer is efficient and reliable and a wonderful addition to any kitchen.

Is there one in yours?
