Grow What You Love

This hub is dedicated to one simple gardening principle: Grow what you love. When gardening, you should only plant the things that you truly enjoy. By doing this, you can ensure that your garden is as magnificent as possible in your eyes. Of course, since there is only a limited amount of space, you do need to make some sacrifices.

There is no shortage of what you can grow. There are fruits, vegetables, small plants, large flowers, and many subvarieties to choose from. It is good to have a mix between things that you can actually eat and other plants that are purely for show. However, if you want to do all of one type, then that is perfectly fine.

Don't let anyone else tell you what you can and can't grow. If you want to go ahead with a project, go ahead and do it!  By the way, this advice is probably one of the best gardening tips out there.

Getting the Materials to Grow What You Love

So you know what you want to grow, but how can you actually go about putting your plans into action?  With the right tools and basic materials, you can have a garden up and running in no time.  You can also reuse many of the things you initially buy, so there is only one large start-up investment when it comes to gardening, and the return on it is extremely high, depending on how much you grow and what your personal valuation of the garden is.

The basic tools you need are small shovels, watering cans, and pots.  There are many other things that you can get, but those are really the only three you really need, and you don't even need pots if you are gardening in the soil outdoors.  Gardening can be quite simple, and that is why nearly anyone can grow what they love if they really put their effort into it.

It is also good to have fertilizer, which you can purchase at any home-oriented store.  It is much better to compost natural waste into homemade fertilizer, as not only is it more effective, but it enables you to save money.

I can't wait to someday have some land of my own, so I can grow what I love. Kind words Kaabi!

I hope you're growing in pots in the meantime! Almost anything can grow in a pot!

You're the second person to tell me so in a year! Guess I'll give it a try this spring! Thanks!
