Guerilla Marketing in Any Form and Fashion

We will begin at the basics.

What is Guerilla Marketing? Guerilla Marketing as defined by Wikipedia " unconventional system of promotions that relies on time, energy and imagination rather than a big marketing budget"

What does this mean for us? It means that we must put our wallet away and think creatively. As you seek to use guerilla marketing in your campaign you will want to make people take a second look and eye catching.

You can accomplish this a few ways.

  1. Viral Marketing --- Social Media Content that drives people to your sire.
  2. Ambient Marketing
  3. Presence Marketing
  4. Grassroots Marketing
  5. Buzz Marketing
  6. Personal Brand Marketing
  7. Niche Brand Marketing
  8. Follow up Marketing

You will want to have feedback on all of your advertising by your friends and co-workers to see if you get the desired head turning result and how they feel about the ad.

Effective Promotion Checklist

Be Specific--- Wandering and wasting your time on projects or ads that do not directly influence your return on investment are useless.

Craft a Theme. Be strategic and stick to the mission objectives.

Coordinate Your Guerrilla. Ads should work  hand in hand with current advertising

Use Simple, Eye Gluing Copy. Emphasize the main idea and be blunt.

Use Up-To-Date Graphics. Be trendy, be unique, emphasize your best qualities through media

Be Clear. Focus your thoughts, Copy and Graphics need to work in unison

Reinforce Previous Messages and Brand Impressions. Don't Switch your company colors or your message on a regular basis.

Know Media. Be smart about the kind of advertising outlets you decide to communicate through and remember their strengths and weaknesses.

Sample. Take a poll on what was best about your ad and what can use improvement. Rinse and repeat.

Great Post, Brian.

It's very powerful to be niche specific, relevant, and have a comprehensive marketing strategy that incorporates all web 2.0 platforms working in synchronicity.
