1) Gracia and the Plaza del Sol - Guide Barcelona / Gracia - Tibidao:

Formerly, the village of Gracia was not part of Barcelona. Like Montmartre in Paris, this district perched on the hills above Barcelona was mainly manual. Gracia has been at the heart of the anarchist and workers movements in the late nineteenth. To get there stop at the metro station Lesseps and discover alleys de Gracia and its buildings peaceful walking east from the station. The district has retained a village atmosphere. The best place to realize it is the Plaza del Sol.
This charming place many coffee houses where it is good to enjoy a zumo de naranja (orange juice) or beer in the shade of buildings.

2) Park Guell - Guide Barcelona / Gracia - Tibidao:

To get there, the easiest way is to backtrack and take minibus No. 24 at the start of the Lesseps metro.

This park is one of the masterpieces, if not the masterpiece of Gaudi. The architect is also built his house demonstrated his love for this place.

Arriving at the garden Guell, one is instantly captivated by so many extravagant: forms round, pointed roof forms very masculine and mosaics, you enter the world of Gaudi.

Opposite the entrance will have a look at the Dragon fountain ceramic which pare the stairs. 3) The tram and the Tibidao - Guide Barcelona / Gracia - Tibidao:


Around the park Guëll beautiful houses with gardens dominate Barcelona. Walk if you have the courage to Tibidao Avenue or take a taxi. From there, take the blue tram which takes you to Tibidao. The start of the tramway is located next to the train station Av del Tibidao. A Walk in the owl tram cars which are made of wood away from the modernist buildings along the avenue as the facade of the Hospital Sant Gervasi. Modernism is an artistic movement that began in Catalonia in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century. The architecture, sculpture, furniture and interior decoration had a place in modernism. The Universal Exhibition of 1888 in Barcelona is the starting point of this movement with the restaurant exposure, "Castell dels Tres Dragons". Lluís Domènech i Montaner (1849-1923) and Antoni Gaudi i Cornet (1852-1926) are the most important architects. Their buildings have features such as: the importance of color, expressive materials via their natural color, a rich decorative (ceramic, glass ...).

Trams run every day from 10H to 20H only during the tourist season from late June to mid-September. Outside this period, they passed on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.


4) Tibidao and the terrace of the Hotel Florida - Guide Barcelona / Gracia - Tibidao

The Tibidao is the realm of children and fans of churros. It is good to walk in the park from the early twentieth century that has certain nostalgia. The park perched at 500 meters above Barcelona offers superb views over the city. The big wheel, the carousel are the attractions of the park just to walk where families Barcelona at the weekend. The museum presents automata an interesting collection of animated toys. After this little journey, you will probably feel tired. Even a small effort and a few minutes walk and you can relax at the Grand Hotel Florida (ask your way around the park, is situated to the east of the park or a taxi hélez). You will understand why Gaudi and Picasso loved this city and why so many young people now come to taste the Catalan movida.
