First off I must say one thing and that is everything listed on here is subjective.  No scientist has proven the validity of anything below that I am aware of.  It is my personal belief that such things as Psychic and Paranormal Abilities are entirely possible. 

If you have searched for a page such as mind then perhaps you have the kind of mind that thirsts for knowledge into this mysterious corner of humanity.  I personally understand the struggles one encounters in searching for real information in this field. 

After many years of personal research I have encountered many kinds of information from those who seem to think that television theatrics of "ability" as the real deal to those who seem to really know what they talk about about.  I have found the best resource for information were real practitioners of pagan, shamanistic, and other such beliefs, but even then many I found seemed to focus on ritualistic aspects instead of the use of the "abilities".

The following is comprised of my view of the use of "ability" without any religious or ritualistic idealogy.  Please read with an open mind as majority is merely my conjecture.

Maybe you notice that you feel sad when your friend is sad or you are the one who brightens every-one's day. It could be that you are an empath. Empathic abilities are very common from what I have encountered and I think I may have an explanation for it.

A scientist would claim that it is simply a reaction to being sensitive to gestures and facial expressions. They could claim it is simply confusing sympathy with empathy. It is partially true in a way. One way to differentiate sympathy from empathy is to say that sympathy is like recognising an emotional state from prior experience where as empathy is sharing an emotional state completely and not always with prior experience of that emotion. That is probably a very poor definition, but we must move on.

I begin with Empathic abilities because they are the first recognisable ability. It is indeed a "sense" so to speak like feeling, tasting, touching, seeing, and hearing. Majority of people do not even realise that they have it, but I believe that everyone does indeed have it. This sense is the bridge to understanding a side of ourselves that will one day no longer be a mystery.

After realising that I was feeling things that I had no reason to feel I came to understand that it was not just my imagination. I put it to the test and came to understand something that I labeled Aura. I later learned that someone else had already come up with this concept and even used the word, but they focused on things like colour and other meaningless bits.

Aura in my definition is the essence of a person, thing, or animal. In some ways you could say that this is the soul or what makes us, well, us. The part of you doing the thinking, feeling, and such, but it isn't confined to your brain. Oh, no. If only it was!

Charisma is a good example of Aura. There are people you know who just have a presence that makes itself known immediately. Someone walks in the room and everyone feels them come in-that is Aura. You can blow it up or shrink it in. You can make it loud or quiet. It is the invisible "bubble" of your identity.

It is Aura that Empathy senses, at least that is how I see it you may think otherwise.
