Guiding Souls to a Relationship with God
59"He is Lord: He is Lord. Every knee must bow and every tongue must confess that Jesus, Jesus Christ is Lord."
Pastor Vincent Warren, Heirs of the Kingdom Church International, sings this song with an emotion that appears to resonate from deep within the heart. The Bible tells us in 1Corinthians 15:25, Revelations 2:27 and Philippians 2:9,11, "He must reign till He hath put all enemies under His feet, And He shall rule them with a rod of iron. God hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
There is power in the name of "Jesus." When death proclaims victory, call out the name of "Jesus" and watch death move. Doctors have been provided with an amazing ability to heal. With this God given ability they can determine most problems the human body experiences. They attempt to diagnose the illness based on predetermined issues, test and information resulting from hundreds of years of education. After making a determination if possible, they either prescribe a series of medications or perform surgery in addition to medications. But, if they are not able to diagnose, cure, heal or remove the cause, they then state to the patient or his family it is in the "Lord's" hands. Man at that point can do no more.
If we call on the name of "Jesus" from the onset of any illness, we have a chance of healing before man gets involved if healing is the will of our Father.
I sat on my couch today feeling the weight of the world on my life. I find that each day seems to take on a life of its own. Today, however, I felt so completely consumed in problems within my body. The feeling was as if it was weighted down with burdens and I just could not move. My children each walked in and asked what was wrong. Simply put, I did not know. I knew it felt as though I was hurting, but I could not pin point any pain.
As I sat there dwelling on the feeling, the Lord in His infinite wisdom and power spoke to me. The statement, "every knee must bow and every tongue must confess that He is Lord" entered into my psyche. I knew I had to call out the name of Jesus. I called His name several times, I am not sure how many. But I continued to call on my Lord God and Savior. With each shout out of His name, I felt a warmth come over me. I began to feel a security and a peace. I began to cry. Not a cry of sadness but a cry of joy and love. I soon was able to get up and move
Jesus is the way we all will survive the attacks of the enemy. Last week, Pastor Warren mentioned in his sermon that Satan cannot hear us when we moan. Satan cannot attack us when we pray in silence. Satan has no power when it comes to those things we do not speak. But, when we speak he hears our mumblings. Satan then comes in like a flood and tries o take control. But, even Satan has to move when the name of Jesus is spoken.
When Satan hears the name of our Savior, he has to bow down and confess that Jesus is Lord. He has no power when we speak the name of Jesus. Whatever is occurring in your life, it can be controlled if you turn it over to Jesus.
When I spoke my Saviors name and sent it out from my mouth with a bold calling, Satan had to move and halt his attack on my body. After speaking my Saviors name, the enemy had to release his hold. I was able to get up. The feeling of holding me down was gone the feeling of any pain was departed. I felt a renewed spirit within my body. There is power in the name of Jesus.
Whenever you feel the attack of the enemy on your mind, body or soul, call on the name of "Jesus."
Ask our Savior to come into your life today. Ask Him to take full control. Watch the results as He begins to renew your spirit. Life will never be the same again.
