Review of the Game

Guild Wars provides two main modes of game play—a cooperative role-playing component and a competitive player vs. player (PvP) component—both of which are hosted on ArenaNet's servers. The games depict the history of the fictional fantasy world of Tyria, each campaign focusing on events in disjoint sections of the world, but roughly parallel in time. The story line is very good, but contains nothing revolutionary, it's pretty much your basic story; humans on the brink of annihilation, being attacked by beasts (called the Charr) and running over the mountains and far away. Of course, the story gets more interesting the closer you get to the end, and there are a few good twists and turns, but still, as I've said before, nothing revolutionary. But since the game isn't about PvE so much as it is about PvP, the story isn't really that important, it's basically used to learn how to function in a group of people, how to use your skills to benefit the one's of other players, and to give you some basic idea how important teamwork is in this game (later on in the game, all the creatures you fight are much more powerful than you, so the right usage of skills at the right time is crucial for survival). The world itself comes in three sections: The first are hubs where you can see and interact with other players to make trades and form teams. Second are adventure zones where you and your team (made up of real people or computer-controlled bots) can explore the countryside. These areas are instanced for you and your team alone. This eliminates the threat of tactless kill stealers or piggish players who camp the choice monster spawn point. You and your team are free to journey in your own little world, hacking down monsters, collecting loot and completing quests, which grant you new spells, skills and choice equipment or weapons. The third area are zones where you can compete with your team head-to-head against other teams in missions with specific goals or straight up death match. Guild Wars is a solid gaming experience. It is perfect for someone with a full time job, or a full time student who wants a little game to play in between term papers and exams. Its graphics are impressive, the lack of monthly fee is choice, and there is re-playability. However, not every on line gamer is bound to like Guild Wars, since the amount of things to do aren't as sparse as they are in well-known MMORPGs. There are no mounts, no marriages, and no jumping over small mounds or short fences. Invisible walls will constantly impede the player who uses directional keys to control a character, rather than letting the mouse auto-plot the path. The game is slightly linear with the constant option to bypass most of its storyline in favor of forging one's own. Whether social butterfly or complete loner, though, this game means for players to travel in groups of some kind, and has been designed to make the experience fair and enjoyable.

Cheats

Ranger's Hog

In the farming city in before the future you can get a prize hog if you are a ranger. This hog cannot die. The enemies won't attack it. He deals a little damage, but it does the job after a while.

Using Resurrection Signet multiple times

Resurrection Signet becomes unusable after you resurrected someone, but when you defeat a Boss it becomes usable again.

Gift For Althea quest: More money

After you have collected either the beautiful feather (in middle of Lakeside Village), beautiful pearl (in a beautiful shell near Miller Upton's home), or beautiful pendant (in a chest slightly northeast of the bandit camp) and take it to him, he will decline the gift saying it is not good enough. Instead of getting the other two items to show him, you can simply talk to him about the beautiful item again. This time he will take the gift.

Have any weapon or shield for any class on PvP

First, make a PvP. When you get to the last part of creation (name), go back to the beginning of the character creation and start over. The character that you make will have the weapon and shield of your last character.

Nice introduction to the game, highlighting some of the differences that seperate this MMO from WoW or EVE.
