Knights of Cydonia
"Knights of Cydonia" is from the album Black Holes and Revelations by the English rock band Muse released in 2006.
"Knights of Cydonia" is featured in Guitar Hero 3 as a master track. This song was also used in Heroes Unmasked and on the commercials advertising for the 300 DVD release.
Cult of Personality
"Cult of Personality" is from Vivid, the debut album of the New York City band Living Colour.
Released in 1988, it won the first ever Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 1989. "Cult of Personality" is featured as the seventh encore track in the main career for Guitar Hero 3. Living Colour had to re-record the song specifically for the game because the master tracks for the song couldn't be found. It is considered as one of the hardest songs on the game, for its difficult, complex, everlasting solos. The Xbox 360 version of the game has an achievement called "Who Needs the Power?" which requires players to acquire over 200,000 points without using Star Power. It also appears on the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas video game soundtrack.
Before I Forget
"Before I Forget" is taken from the album Vol. 3 The Subliminal Verses by Slipknot released in 2006.

3's and 7's
"3's and 7's" is taken from the 2007 album Era Vulgaris by Queens of the Stone Age.
3's & 7's is featured in the American football video game Madden NFL 08 and was the very first song announced in music video game Guitar Hero 3. "3's and 7's" along with Queens of the Stone Age's other songs Sick, Sick, Sick and Little Sister - is set to appear as downloadable songs for the forthcoming music video game Rock Band.
Stricken
"Stricken" is taken from the album Ten Thousand Fists by the rock band Disturbed. It was released in 2005 and became a highly requested song.
Stricken is a master track and a playable song on Guitar Hero 3. The music video for this song was filmed in an abandoned hospital in which a scene from A Nightmare on Elm Street was taken.
