58Acoustic Guitar Lesson
Here is an acoustic guitar lesson that teaches you how to play the intro to the classic rock tune I'd Love To Change The World, by Ten Years After and guitarist Alvin Lee.
The first part is played in an arpeggio style alternating downstrokes with upstrokes. The second part is played in a strumming style. It is very important when playing arpeggios that your right hand picks consistently in this manner. The downs are on the beat (1, 2, 3, 4) and the ups are on between the beats, referred to as "ands" when counting.
