Acoustic Guitar Lesson

Here is an acoustic guitar lesson that teaches you how to play the intro to the classic rock tune I'd Love To Change The World, by Ten Years After and guitarist Alvin Lee.

The first part is played in an arpeggio style alternating downstrokes with upstrokes. The second part is played in a strumming style. It is very important when playing arpeggios that your right hand picks consistently in this manner. The downs are on the beat (1, 2, 3, 4) and the ups are on between the beats, referred to as "ands" when counting.

Guitar students can find the TAB here.

I'd Love To Change The World

Everywhere is freaks and hairies Dykes and fairies, tell me where is sanity Tax the rich, feed the poor  Till there are no rich no more

Id love to change the world  But I don’t know what to do  So Ill leave it up to you

Population keeps on breeding  Nation bleeding, still more feeding economy  Life is funny, skies are sunny  Bees make honey, who needs money, monopoly

Id love to change the world  But I don’t know what to do  So Ill leave it up to you

World pollution, there’s no solution  Institution, electrocution  Just black and white, rich or poor  Them and us, stop the war

Id love to change the world  But I don’t know what to do  So Ill leave it up to you
