Here is a first look of the "Rock Bandesque drum kit" coming to Guitar Hero IV

The Guitar Hero IV's drum kit consists of three main drums, two cymbals and a bass drum. It appears like the designers wanted this one to resemble an actual electric kit.

Project director Brian Bright told Game Informer magazine that they wanted to "make it quieter" than their competitor's kit.

Activision said gamers can look forward for better durability of Guitar Hero drums. Bright in the same interview. "These guys know it inside and out. This thing is not going to crack."

It is quite clear that there is not much hope of being able to use Rock Band drums on Guitar Hero IV or vice versa. The configurations are different, and the Guitar Hero IV drums also pick up on how hard you hit the pads.

Guitar Hero IV will launch in late 2008 for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and PS2.

The Guitar Hero IV is expected to have a lot of features and support for

- Drums

- Vocals

- Bass

- Guitar

- Online multiplayer

- Create a song mode

- File sharing which allows you to share up to 5 different songs

- Customizable rockers and instruments

- All instruments in the game, including the drum set, will be wireless.

- Drums will have different wood grains available

Activision and Neversoft also told GI they will release more downloadable songs for Guitar Hero IV than they have for Guitar Hero III and plan to introduce a new music-creation tool.
