Guru Fodder & The Anti Hype

The Anti Hype pokes fun at the over hyped sales pages and questionable tactics of some of the Big Bad Gurus on the internet.

Dubbed Guru Fodder, those unsuspecting vistors to those sites readily part with their cash with little knowledge of what awaits.

Stumbling from one pyjama fiasco to the next One Time Offer. Over hyped launches lead to the next sell it and move on project.

The Anti Hype laps them up, spins them and creates a hilarious spoof of those pyjama wearing gurus.

About Guru Fodder

I created The AntiHype and started Guru Fodder to help newcomers to the internet avoid the over-hyped sales pages of some of the bad gurus whose sole aim is to get as much money out of the vulnerable as possible.

No, not everyone is bad but until you know whgat you need to know it is so easy to spend money on the wring things.

The blog highlights the main tactics in a humourous way but also provides some great information that anyone interested in creating a business on the internet should find useful.

  • Homer’s First Day In The Wong Fook Hing Bookstore

Yes, he’s done it. He’s taken over the bookstore and asked me to install a hidden camera to see if he’s doing it right. Just so you know, Homer (AKA as Mr Roy) has somehow convinced Marge (who he calls Margaret at home) to join him for his first few days in charge. She’s not one to [...] - 2 months ago

  • Why I Quit Internet Marketing

I never thought I’d hear those words “I quit internet marketing” but today I had Homer screaming that very phrase down the phone at me. As you know he has been in big trouble of late but with some skillful negotiating we managed to get refunds on all of the internet marketing courses he recently signed [...] - 2 months ago

Internet Marketing Hype or Good Practice?

Ever read one of those two foot long sales letters? You know the ones that promise the earth overnight, no risks, money back guarantee, no experience, education, intelligence or brain required.

In fact all you need to do is pay and the money will roll-in.

Mmm. It all seems so very tempting and convincing BUT there is always a catch. There is always something that is not fully explained.

That little something is what keeps the whole charade alive.

It's the fact that you, yes YOU have to do something. The product won't do it and you have to take some action.

It is said that 99% of all people who buy a "make money" type product don't take action and of those up to 50% yes 50% never even open the book or box!

Now, if that's true is it any wonder these guys keep churning out "must have2 after "must have"?

Hi, Wizzer,

Like your blog. Looks like you've got some more teaching to do in the forum for how to do the RSS from our blogs and the new Flock browser. Keep up the good work. You're actually developing a community of anti-hype marketers. What an improvement to the landscape!
