Get Gwen Stefani's look for less

Gwen Stefani has been a fashion leader for years now. Gwen's style evokes everything from punk to retro to '80s glamor to the latest couture. Fans can emulate her style by purchasing items from her uber-expensive line, LAMB, or they can follow these tips.

To capture her '50s look, try pinup or rockabilly dresses, and halter tops in bright colors, bold patters, or leopard prints. Pinupgirlclothing.com and shopplasticland.com offer some great vintage styles. Accessorize your outfit with retro shoes (some neat styles can be found at dune.co.uk) and a flower in your hair. For outerwear get a faux fur leopard coat with a flair bottom (check out vintagetrends.com for real vintage faux fur coats). Debutanteclothing.com is a cute blog that covers vintage and couture fashion that provides you with some more neat vintage ideas.

To bring out her preppy-meets-punk-rock style, look for tailored leather jackets, leather belts with studs, men's neckties, tailored white button-down shirts, fitted cardigans. Get preppy classics from J. Crew and then top them off with accessories from Hot Topic or Lip Service.

Gwen has captured different looks for her two solo albums ("Love Angel Music Baby" and "The Great Escape"). In the music video of her single, "What You Waiting For," Gwen channeled a Gothic Lolita and Alice in Wonderland look. You can emulate this fetish look with a Gothic Lolita "Alice" dress (they can be found on Ebay or at fanplusfriend.com), white tights, black hair band, and Mary Jane stilettos. For "The Great Escape," Gwen Stefani captured Michelle Pfieffer's sleek style in "Scarface" with smooth shoulder length hair, oversized sunglasses (you can get vintage style sunglasses at 80spurple.com), and slinky white and metallic dresses.
