When you develop gynecomastia it is normally at some point during your teenage years and for most people it goes away on its own as you mature and age.

What if your "man boobs" don't go away though?

Depending on how old you are then you may be reading this and hoping to all heck that they go away on their own, or you are thinking to yourself that they arent going so now what?

The growth that results in men having enlarged breasts can be due to a number of things, sometimes it can be an illness that makes them grow as a side effect. However usually it is one of two things.

Obesity

Glands and Hormones

The simplest reason for most men growing man boobs is that they just eat to much. It really is that simple, as obesity becomes more common so mens testosterone levels are dropping and that in turn is causing more men to develop breasts.

You know if you are overweight or not you also know if your gynecomastia only started to develop after your weight started to increase.

If you are not overweight and this has been a sudden development then you should go see a Dr. It is possible that this has developed due to a hormone displacement and that may cause you to need surgery.

The surgery you have to remove fatty growths that cause your breasts to grow would be liposuction whereas if you are experiencing glandular or hormone problems then you would probably need full on plastic surgery.

You must find out what is causing your gynecomastia before you can find out how much the surgery is going to cost you. Any Surgery is a scary prospect, the cost of Gynecomastia surgery can be terrifying, find out all the facts and which type of surgery you will need before you drive yourself to nuts.

Once you know your options then you are in a better position to make a choice about how you want to deal with this medical situation.
