HE WHO RESTRAINS

I am sure many have heard the word Rapture. Many teachers believe in the Rapture and many do not, but I found something, which interested me for some time. About year ago I found a book online and read it called What’s So Great About America by Dinesh D’Souza.

The book dealt with America, its foundation and influence on the world. America became known as the best country on the face of the earth. America brought to the world freedom, equality and human rights and even atheists enjoy these things fully.

The book reviewed the history even through ancient times and cultures. The nations like Greece, Rome and others sacrificed the children to their gods and were very wicked. They abandoned female babies in the forest to allow them to be destroyed by wild animals. The book is very instructive and helpful to understand history and our time.

America became the first country that brought equal rights and freedom. There was never a country in the history like it before. In other countries there were abusive kings (some were maybe better, but most were not). Today I am not sure the world gives America the credit it deserves.

America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and the Bible. There is no doubt about it. Importing socialism and Marxism from Europe, the Christians as well as the Jews are the most hated groups in the world. Is it because the enemy knows that these groups are more favored by God Almighty? It does not mean God do not love others, but that the enemy hates them.

So how would the world be today if Christianity and the Jews did not exist? Judeo-Christian America was leading. Soviet system collapsed, China became a capitalistic socialism system. All the rest of the countries in the world were in poverty, but still America is blamed for all the problems of the world.

The Bible gives us a clue for the future. The Church and many Jews will be “rapture” to heaven. The word “Christianity” came later in the history. The Bible called Christians before “new man” and “new creation.” Here is the point: what the world is going to be when the restrainer will not be present here. We already see the signs. People are rude, hating, materialistic and money-lovers; there are many thieves and murderers, as the Bible predicted. It is not that Holy Spirit will be removed from the earth. The Holy Spirit will never leave. Since after the rapture there will be many who will get saved. The Holy Spirit is the only one who brings people to the faith and to the Messiah. Otherwise all religious conversions are useless.

We are the ones who are restrained against the self-destructive forces, or “massive suicide” of the nations. After we leave, then the Son of perdition, the Anti-Messiah (or Anti-Christ) will appear and will be a cruel dictator as we have never seen before. He will come during the Great Tribulation as the Bible predicted.

All “good people” will be gone. I am talking about those who are saved. There will be no normal people left and only the cruel people will remain. It does not look too good.

What will the world will look like?

Let me quote the scripture to meditate on:

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sit in the temple of God, showing himself that he is god. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now you know what withhold that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming. (2 Thess. 2:3-8).
