Motive of hub for HHO Generator

This hub will discuss hho gases and how we can produce them for our purpose of increasing mileage

Perfect Example Of Wire Electrode For HHO Generator

How is HHO Generated

We are not going to cover electrolysis in current discussion, if you do not then read some basic stuff on electrolysis.

We need electrolysis of water for our beloved HHO gas, Why beloved? This HHO gas is 3 times more powerful than your regular gasoline (petrol). For electrolysis you need a perfect electrode. The better the electrode the more electrolysis will you be able to do resulting in an increased production of HHO gas.

The core part of any HHO Genarator is electrode. Most people are too new and or too excited about the technology that they just do not put enough attention on these little things which can cost them dearly.

It is electrode that will draw current from your cars battery for electrolysis to output HHO gas. Here are two most important aspects that you should know about electrode used for an HHO Generator

  1. If electrode draws too much of a current then be certain that you will need a replacement battery soon.

  2. If the current drawn is too little then for sure there will be next to nil electrolysis resulting in almost no HHO gas generation and all your efforts will be wasted.

Example of a HHO Generator fitted With Plate Electrodes

Two Different Kind Of HHO Generators

There are two configurations of HHO generators that are widely used as per individual requirements. The over all functionality remains the same the difference is only in the production of HHO gas.

  1. Installation With Wire Electrode
  2. Installation With Plate Electrode

The wire electrode design is easy to build if you are planning to make your own HHO generator as compared to Plate electrode which requires cutting of 304 Stainless Steel Sheets to size of 2"x6" or 2"x7" etc and then getting them drilled which spoils the overall look of the generator as it is tough to get symmetry if you are not professional.

Moreover plate electrode require a stronger container due to higher production of HHO.

On the right are shown samples of how wire and plate electrode look in a completed HHO generator.

Take a closer look on these two kind of HHO Generators Here.

Stacking HHO Generators

As per Water4Gas you can stack both these kind of generators in a number of ways depending on how many you plan to install 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 generators in one car. I would recommend you to add generators at a slow pace after you check performance of each installations. In 90% cases customers are getting good results of about 50% mileage increase with a pair of HHO generators.

Warning:

Do not use NaOH OR KOH as electrolytes, only use Baking Powder in your HHO Generator that is available in your grocery store.

Thats perfect for comment which requires less knowledge and brains. I am not an engineer and very bad at chemistry but for sure I know this damn thing works.

It is not that I know everything about this technology, but I am prepared to put good part of my day these days to dig out results.

I am putting all my test cases on my site, I am not puchasing any kits from anywhere, but making my own kits for testing purposes.

Check results here

Nice Hub.

I don't think you should be telling people not to use NaOH or KOH as electrolytes. The baking soda will eat your stainless up a lot faster and leave alot of residue in your gen. Not to mention it is harder to control thermal runaway. (In open bath generators.) Naoh or KOH should be should be used as electrolytes to help control heat and keep your stainless in better shape. Which lengthens the life of your generator.

Just a litle info from Almosthydrogen.

anyone that know anything about hydrogen generator know that you never use baking soda.

sorry, I had to say that. the rest of the info looks good and the kits seem pretty quality. I see you have multiple kits. you should check this site out, they have the B3 wich is extremely efficient. www.hydrgenjunkie.com and offer a DIY Kit.

Hi Jim,

Thanks, I also learnt it hard way that NaOH and KOH save stainless and also result in lot more gas and efficiency.

This company seem to have a decent HHO Generaor system, they use acetic acid as electrolyte base. NaOH and KOH particles going to your engine cause metal embrittlement.

Very nice Hub. I would agree with these other guys about the Baking soda issue, but when I am dealing with total novices I do recommend that they use baking soda for their first experimental units simply because it is safe to handle and can be cleaned and the waste is not so toxic.

By the way you stated use "baking powder" it is not the same and will cause too much residue from the starch.

Thank you Larry - HHO2U.com

I have been testing with baking soda, KOH and NaOH from a long time and I am able to comment that if you are to new to HHO Generator concept then you may go with baking soda as it is of no risk. You can even taste it by putting a pinch in your mouth. But when dealing with NaOH or KOH you have to be extra careful as they can damage your skin.

As far as results goI get extremely good results with my generators when using KOH, not only for gas production but also for longer life of plates. You have to change water/KOH on a lower frequency with this electrolyte.

Good Luck!!!

I am new to KOH and NaOH. What would be a starting place when mixing.

Thanks

For NaOH I put 7 pallettes to start with for about 2 ltrs of water. For KOH put 10 pallettes in 2 ltr of water. Both proportions are for laboratory grade chemicals. The above mix is for 2x17 plate HHO Generator with +NNN-NNN+NNN-NNN+ plate setup.
