There is a myth about where HIV originated. Some seem to think a human had sex with a monkey. The only truth to that is, it did transfer from monkey to human. Not from sex, but from when Americans were hunting this particular type of monkey. There were in fact hunting this monkey for its meat and came in to contact with the infected blood. Where the sex part came in, I do not know.
