HOLIDAY TIPS AND HUBS 2009

Tis The Season To Be Broke....
Never hurts to be a bit silly, but on a serious note this holiday season is going to be hard for a lot of people. I thought since this is the season to "give" and be "thankful," I would share some hubs with you that I think fit this theme or offer something nice or helpful. I also included Thanksgiving since it is coming up quickly!
I am always inspired by other writers who have a "clear voice" in their articles. There are quite a few that I feel are "reaching out" to their readers in such an amazing way. Since I am still fairly new on hubpages I have not made the rounds to everyone here yet. Infact I'm learning about new writers every day and enjoying their stories, poems and humor!
I also like to find articles or hubs that I think will appeal to a certain kind of person who is always thinking of ways to help people. Whether it is a lesson in making something new in the kitchen or writing about ways to change a menu for a Vegetarian or just coming up with a cool gift idea. In this current economy I think it is best to make your favorite dish or baked goodies and share it with someone you love. You can't beat that for holiday cheer!
Let's Start With Thankgiving...
Since this is the first year we will be making a Vegetarian Thanksgiving meal at my home, I wanted to share a "helpful hub" for vegetarians, a very "giving hub" in a BIG way and a fun one for the kiddies!

Gifts Big or Small...
I thought an electric kettle would be a great gift! Target has them for around $20.00 and I love mine! I also wanted to mention this cool camera incase you want to splurge on a loved one or buy as a family gift and make sure you record all of those precious memories! I also had to put a helpful and giving hub here for pets who may need something a bit "warmer" for the holidays. Last but not least for your friends who love and collect RETRO stuff....how about a vintage hang bag?

G -- you have really put your skills and unbounded energy into this HUB. I don't know where you find the time with the young ones and the guy to tend, along with all the professional avenues you pursue. All I can do is applaud and admire the smart way you have organized and presented the theme you postulated. On behalf of the Hubbers who read but don't write, thanks for effort. David Russell
Another fantastic hub GPage, and its so nice of you to mention other hubbers hubs in your articles. Great tips here for Xmas gift baskets. Must do that this year. Also love reading about recipes. love cooking. Thanks for including my hub in your article. Makes me feel so honoured to be promoted by a great hubber.
GodBless.

The pinnacle of professionalism - AGAIN! You set the high standards for the rest of us. Thanks for sharing, lots of really great ideas here - both for family celebrations as well as a caring way to write! Thanks!
This is an excellent Hub GPage! It's very well thought out, I don't know if I would've been able to muster up the patience you've shown to lay this out so nicely. I love the articles you've included! They help inspire some unique new ideas for this quickly approaching holiday season. I'm going to go check out that electric kettle now, it sounds like a most excellent gift idea!
I am honored to have been included in this delightful hub and found a lot of value out of your other suggestions.
I appreciated "gratitude is "the parent of all the others". A virtue that begets other virtues...from the hub "thanksgiving is beyond a holiday' and I am grateful to have shared some ideas about vegetarian needs on thanksgiving.
Now Im off to buy cranberries :)
Zsuzsy, The Rope, HappyHer & sunforged......thank you all for stopping by!
I always enjoy having you here. You all bring so much more to my experience here on hubpages and I wanted you to know how much I appreciate ALL OF YOU (who I have learned so much from!) including the others mentioned in the hub to! Best, GPAGE

GPAGE, I love this hub and as usual, you are so generous to put links to other's hubs! Thank you! I love the links to the vegetarian Thanksgiving recipes and the Kitchen section. It is possible to have great vegetarian feasts for the holidays or at any time! Turkey cupcakes made me laugh! And, kitchen kettles are an excellent gift - you can get the water at just the right temp. for your coffee press. You really add so much to the hubs community!
