My experience with online paid surveys-Make Money From Home!

There are many who have made money on the Internet, the affiliate marketing gurus who are rolling in millions, the e-commerce gods, the corporations and business that have benefited substantially from the www phenomenon. But all these money makers have spent endless hours and sometimes immense expense to get there.

What about those who need to earn a little extra income without any start up costs or significant time investment.

Maybe just enough to dine at that 5 star restaurant once in a while, or to purchase that trendy new tech toy or maybe you are a stay at home mom or full time student who struggles to make ends meet. The solution can be online paid surveys. There are market research companies who pay consumers for their opinions, and those opinions shape the market on a variety of topics from groceries to automobiles, medical research, testing new advertising and lots more. I have made about $750 each year for the last two years.

Now please, let me be clear before you quit your day job and book a first class vacation to Europe this is no get rich quick, or even get rich eventually plan

You will not make millions, and Donald Trump won't be calling you for consultation. However, you can make some nice pocket change for very little effort, from your computer and have fun at the same time. The best part is you could work at home, in your pajamas, between other chores or in place of them, at school, on your laptop, between the stirring of the stew, during commercials, or even while on your lunch break. The point is you have flexibility and you can choose. The only requirements are an Internet connection, an email account and a desire to answer questions. I think the fat lady just sang......da da!!

There are a lot of paid survey sites

Some are ok, and some are really great. My research and experience is two years long and with some trial and error I have been able to weed out the winners. But first there are some important things to remember when engaging in the paid panelist business. First, NEVER pay to become a member of a survey site. The legitimate ones do not charge, they pay you, you are doing them a favor by submitting consumer opinions which in turn serves their clients. Second, be sure to enter truthful honest information when answering survey questions, and that they match your original profile information. If you make things up just to complete the survey and get paid they will cancel your account. Third, make sure you add the companies email extension information to your white list/email contacts so that survey invitations sent to you do not get put in your bulk or spam folder and you miss the opportunity to be paid. Lastly, some surveys load and work best in Internet Explorer browser, I personally use Firefox as my primary browser, so when I accept survey invitations I open those in IE, this way I won't have a problem with viewing mid survey and miss the opportunity to earn the reward.

THE BEST SURVEY SITES

Now to the good stuff. My experiences with the sites I review has always been positive and I do recommend them to my friends and family. Upon registration these survey sites will send surveys invitations via email along with the respective reward. You then respond and complete the questionnaire. Qualification is usually determined with the first few questions (based on specific demographics that their looking for) and if you qualify and complete the survey you will be credited with the respective award. Most surveys take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes, depending a lot on the individual who takes them. Most pay cash dollars, some pay points which you can accrue over time and exchange for cash or prizes or gift cards. When you visit these sites you can view a rewards page that highlights their specific award program. Some of these companies also conduct surveys via telephone, cell phone texting and in-person focus groups. I have opted out of that option so all I can tell you about that is that you can select those preferences in your personal profile.

The survey sites I have chosen to highlight are my favorites and they are the ones where I have profited the most, found most interesting and from which I have received free trials of products and services.

Vindale Research at http://tryvindale.com/V3c6lgguo has been around for a long time. This site's primary focus is the evaluation of products and services. Basically you sign up for trials of particular services and products. For instance, they had an online movie rental survey, where you sign up for blockbuster.com for $9.99 for the first month (you may cancel anytime once that month ends) then you fill out a short survey about the sign up process experience. Vindale in return reimburses you for any costs associated with sign up as well as extra money for your time. Now I have to tell you that when I first signed up with them I was wary because that offer for Blockbuster as well as almost all of their evaluation offers require a credit card in order to sign up for the goods or services. But I tried it and have never been sorry. Vindale research always pays as specified ,they are completely honest and I get to try out a lot of cool things for free. In the end the total that I got paid for Blockbuster from Vindale Research was $20 (9.99 for the trial fees I paid and the rest for my time) and I got a free month of movies.I have since done many evaluations and steadily make about $50 (via Paypal or check by mail) every two weeks from Vindale. Warning: Be sure to read the detailed instructions for each survey, the guidelines are outlined in great detail and are important especially the fact that you have to follow the links from the Vindale website to order products or else you will not be paid.

Your 2 Cents at your2cents.com send surveys for about $1-$5 a pop. Plus pays bonus bucks for completed profiles. They pay via check once you have a minimum of $10 on your account.

Esearch at esearch.com is a prestigious company that sends high paying surveys and precious few of them some as high as $20 or more a pop. Global

Global Test Market at globaltestmarket.com is a worldwide market research company, well known and well established. They pay with market points, which are exchanged for payment via check. Each market point is worth 5 cents, you can request payment once you reach 1000 points or $50. They send out lots and lots of surveys all worth between 5-100 points each so the points accrue quickly. They also have sweepstakes, and they send out invites to movie screenings for films not yet released to the public.

Greenfield Online at greenfieldonline.com sends out a lot of surveys on a variety of topics, unfortunately alot of them are rewarded with sweepstakes entries, not my favorite thing, but they do offer cash surveys too. Payment can be received via Paypal or check.

American Consumer Opinion at acop.com is a worldwide research company that pays for consumer opinions and ideas through online surveys. You can win drawings just for being a member. Get paid each time you complete a survey. Surveys focus on evaluation of new products, testing new advertising and as I previously stated, I'm not too crazy about the sweepstakes, because I have yet to win anything in my life, but when they send cash surveys the money award is usually high.

Opinion Square at opinionsquare.com sends surveys on a variety of topics from cell phones to groceries. Rewards include valuable prizes, cash, and entries into $100,000 sweepstakes.

e-Rewards Opinion Panel at www.e-rewards.com compensates for participation in surveys via incentives that can be used toward popular retail store purchases, such as Borders and American Airlines.

The Socratic Forum at socraticforum.com are a technology based research company. Surveys are mostly about technology, IT, computer specific topics, business, e-commerce and such. Most of the surveys require knowledge of these topics to qualify so unless you have the expertise you might be out of luck, like I have been quite often. But I do qualify at times and have earned some high rewards.

Zoom Panel at zoompanel.com rewards completed surveys with points, takes a while to accrue, and there are different redemption levels, the lowest is 1000 points redeemable for merchandise such a iphone covers and a universal remote the highest is 10000 points which includes digital cameras, food processors and more.

Focus Forward Market Research Service at www.focusfwdonline.com also sends cash paying surveys, and payment can be requested once account reaches a total of $10.

AW Surveys at http://www.AWSurveys.com/HomeMain.cfm?RefID=genuwine4532

on this site you evaluate websites and get paid. There is a $6 sign up bonus and $1.25 for each referral. I made $28 total in about 20 minutes the first time I signed up, but after that it takes longer because they do not post new surveys very often. The minimum for payout is when your account reaches $75. But I'm half way there all ready and it really takes very little time.

These sites are also known as pay to click

Besides the above research companies there are other "survey sites" that are primarily advertiser based. I say "survey sites" because they are not really research companies but the middle man between the consumer and the advertiser. Snap Dollars at http://www.snapdollars.com/index/genuwine4532, InBox Dollars at inboxdollars.com and Send Earnings at sendearnings.com are sites that have paid to sign up offers, for example they will pay you like $5 to register with Ebay, or stamps.com etc as well as pay you about 50 cents to $1.50 to sign up with some of the research companies reviewed above. They also have 'paid emails', usually 1-10 cents per email (hey it adds up...eventually), and a 'paid to shop' feature with incentives for buying from certain retailers. The unfortunate thing about these sites is that they all feature paid offers with the same retailers so it's pretty much redundant, except for the paid to shop, where there is more of a diversity. They do however all give you $5 just for registering and the paid emails are always sent, sometimes several a day, and all you have to do is open the email and click the 'paid to read link', it directs you to another page with advertising and that's it!-- you get the windfall of 1-10 whole cents. But like I said, eventually it adds up and you can request payment via Paypal or check once your account reaches the required minimum amount of $30. Warning: sometimes that minimum can be high like with Tik Tik Cash at tiktikcash.com where you need to have a $100 in your account to request payment. For these sites it is important to check out the FAQ or terms page to be sure that it is something you want to participate in because of the redundancy and minimum earnings requirement for payout. Sometimes it's best to just stick with one if you are going to sign up for the offers that way you can accrue the money in one place and reach the minimum much faster. There is also Bux bux.to and Quick Rewards at http://quickrewards.net/

In summary, I hope this article helps some and better yet many. Get paid to voice your opinion WHAT A RACKET!! This venture has helped me and I am glad to pass the word along. Good luck and happy earning!!

thanks for the links and the precautions that we need to take. for me, surveys don't really seem to work for me as i'm not us based and also, just a housewife thus don't get much surveys. the only that does send me from time to time, like once every hmmm...2 months? is global test market. i have signed up for others too but no surveys from them at all. so it's a no go. i also don't do those offer sites as i don't have credit cards and can't afford to pay trial fees that will be refunded.

but it's a great hub. welcome to hubpages.

I have been taking surveys online for almost a year now and I have made thousands of dollars so far and counting. The key is to sign up for as many of the good ones as you can. The best ones are the sites that pay well and send surveys consistently. I have written a blog about this which includes links to some of the best paid survey sites I have found. You can check it out here: http://legitimatepaidsurveysitesforyou.blogspot.co
