HOW TO STEAL IDENTITY

Imagine! a system made for the benefit of the human race has now been turned around to hurt the human race. What then can we say to these things.

A young boy or girl of between the ages of 16-25years,wake up in the morning, had his birth, take some breakfast and leave the home for the office.Where is the office? The nearest cybercafe. Please don't get me wrong ,the cafe can be your office if you are a person who engages in a legitimate business on the internet. But i am actually talking about scammers.

He seats down to work and a call came through to him through his mobile phone,he said"hellow"

"where are you" the person on the other line responded. He said "i am in the office and very very busy". I know began to wonder what kind of business is he into? He is busy constructing mails(scam mails),that he will send to millions of internet users worldwide. These kind of mails sometime come into your box either as a spam or you unknowingly requested for it.

You can request for it when you join some sites on the internet, e.g social networking sites or sites that genuinely needed you info to transact business with such as your email address.

Before you know it you are already receiving mails from people whose relatives are dead leaving behind a huge sum of money and you are now needed to keep the money save from other relatives or from a financial consultant to the dead person who has not been able to trace any leaving relative of the dead person.

If you are one of the greedy type you will join in the scam, you bank account information will be requested for, in other to transfer the said money and you will be surprised at how fast your money disappears from you own account instead of receiving the transfered money.

You may also be wondering how these people get you info if you have not join any internet program, well there is something called email extractor, these people will get all the email address they needed by using the email extractor, though the use of the email extractor is banned in some country, you will still be surprise at how these young people use this thing without restriction in cyber cafes around the world.

Sometimes you recieve this type of mail:

We are pleased to inform you of the final announcement that you are one of our New year winners of the UNITED KINGDOM ONLINE PROMO AWARDS, held on 29th october,2007. You have won for your self a total sum of £516,778.00 POUNDS STERLING and its Equivalent is $921,201:00 USD.Please contact fiduciary agent for your claims by sending to him yourDetails Below.Email:agentharrysmith2007@yahoo.co.ukPROVIDE DETAILS BELOW AND SEND TO OUR CLAIMS AGENT FOR VERIFICATION1. Full Names:2. Address:3. Age:4. Sex:5. Marital Status:6. Occupation:7. Phone numbers:8. Country:Mr Harry Smith Email:agentharrysmith2007@yahoo.co.ukYours Truly,Philip Wilhelm (Mr)Co-ordinator Online Promo Programme.

Again they ask for your personal info before you can claim your winnings or they even ask you to pay some amount of money before your winnings can be processed, this is actually the reason for the mail in the first place, they are expecting you to be foolish enough to send them the processing fees and you will not hear from them again. some time they will even ask you to travel over for the collection of your winnings and at the end of the day people usually loose their lives over this type of arrangement. The only way to prevent such an occurrence is to ignore such a mail or report it as a spam.but never ever release your information to them. Why? because of identity theft..Releasing your information on the net will give them access to using your info on the net to defraud others and this may land you in trouble with the Law.

There are genuine businesses on the net and also off the net but think twice before you join any and please do the necessary research before releasing your personal info.there are bad people out there waiting to hurt others.
