I am a firm believer in the fact that things come to you when you are ready for them, including books. I was always interested in astrology in my younger years, and I still look at it sometimes, but my attitude toward it is very different than it used to be. Gone are the days of waiting breathlessly to read my next horoscope.

My personal relationship with the Lord did not come into my life until much later. And since the subject of this hub is my relationship with money and attracting money, I will not be discussing that here, except to state that I believe that most religions are different versions of the same story. They each possess a different path up the same mountain, with a single Divine Entity at the top. While one may refer to Him as "Buddha," others may refer to Him as "God," "the Lord," "a Master Spirit," "the Source of All Energy," etc.

This hub is referring to the notion that the universe is made up of energy, and that we all have the ability to focus our energy (through prayer, sometimes, and visualization either follows that or is done by itself) in such a way as to have a visualization. This process of visualizing the thing we want to happen (or don't want to happen) brings that experience into our awareness.

A great aunt of mine introduced me to the concept of reincarnation through lending me a booked entitled Many Lives, Many Masters by Dr. Brian Weiss, of Miami. The way he approached it made it so believable for me that I read everything I could get my hands on about it. This was before the internet was a regular part of my life.

Then, after my father's suicide, I read a book entitled A Soul's Journey, by Peter Richelieu. In this book, the author is visited by a shaman, who gives him information that he finds extremely comforting while dealing with the recent loss of a dearly beloved family member. This book seemed to have the answer to any question I had about life. Although it is out of print, it can sometimes be found on Amazon and in other places on the web. VERY good book.

Much more recently, I bought and watched the movie called, the Secret by Rhonda Byrne. I also bought and read the book. The notion that "Thoughts are Things" was not really new to me, but I had never given it much energy. As I watched the movie, I related a little, but it wasn't until I started visualizing and having things happen that I dove into another quest for knowledge on this interesting subject.

I first read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, As a Man Thinketh by James Allen, Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain, and everything I could get my hands on by Esther Hicks. Rhonda Byrne was right, this idea was not new. I was not so sure about the idea that the idea had been kept away from common knowledge until I read and watched the Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. I spent a great deal of time in the chat room of the CelestineVision.com website, which is no longer available (the website is, but the chat room is not, at the time of this writing). I also read his later books the Tenth Insight, the Secret of Shambhala, the Celestine Vision and a book he wrote with Michael Murphy and Sylvia Timbers called GOD and the Evolving Universe.

I also read Joe Vitale's Life's Missing Instruction Manual and Jack Canfield's Key to Living the Law of Attraction. The books all had the same theme. And so did the teachings of Neville Goddard.

However, the book that has brought me the greatest understanding and insight is possibly Florence Scovel Shinn's The Game of Life and How to Play It.  She also wrote other books, and they sell them individually, but the one I have has all of her works in it.  She died in 1941, but this first book was written in 1925.  Shockingly, the language is surprisingly understandable, and the situations described in the book can easily be applied to modern times.

Synchronicity. Visualization. Looking at negative happenings in a positive light (ie I was fired from that job so that I could get this awesome new job! I lost that boyfriend to make room for a new one! If I had stayed in that house, I would never have looked around to get this new and nicer one!).

It all made sense now. When I think of someone, they call me. When I visualize money falling from the sky and landing in my hands, I get unexpected money. When I verbalize a need, the thing I need materializes. It doesn't always come in the way I expect it, but it always comes.
