Oh my God - seniors rule!  I have just discovered a 2009 calendar with some of the most impish, confident, strutting senior guys baring their all to raise money for charity. 

There is a saying "the lights are on but nobody's home" which means someone is technically alive but is not mentally operating at full capacity.  Well, these gents could never be accused of that.  They are downright saucy!

I may need to go to the Greenspring Retirement Community to do personal interviews, because the models facial expressions have sold me on their vitality. 

This calendar is the result of a dare.  Apparently, the good women of the Greenspring Retirement Community in northern Virginia made a calendar similar to the one featured in the 2003 movie "Calendar Girls" starring Helen Mirren and Julie Walters.  Their facility holds fund-raisers to help community members who may become financially needy.  The ladies calendar was for 2008, so the men stepped up to the plate for 2009. 

We are a wee  bit into the year, but this calendar would still be a fun way to remind yourself that you are only as old as you act!
