The Night Sky Before and During Alignment

What is a "Conjunction" ?

On December 01, 2008 a 3-degree triangle was formed between the Moon, Venus, and Jupiter

Used in both astronomy and astrology, the term conjunction refers to the close proximity of planets or celestial bodies in the sky. Grammatically speaking a conjunction is a part of speech that connects two words, phrases or clauses together. It is appropos to bring these two ideas together in poetry.

Please scroll down to learn about an AIDS healing project in Africa that came to my attention while writing this hub. There are no accidents. I believe the sky gives us signs of how and when we must take action

Inspiration From Nature

Inspiration for haiku poems come from nature. On the evening of December 01, 2008 stargazers all over the northern hemisphere had their eyes skyward as the new crescent moon reflected the light of the sun, and appeared in conjunction with the two brightest planets, Venus and Jupiter.

For those who did not plan to watch, coming upon the intensity of this night sky was awe-inspiring. The emotional impact brought gasps of wonder and a desire to share the experience.

There are many photographs of the event from many countries. This wonder inspires poetry as it did for th 18th century English poet, Samuel Taylor Coleridge when he wrote his epic poem, "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner." He wrote,

The moving Moon went up the sky,

And no where did abide :

Softly she was going up,

And a star or two beside —

December 8, 2008 Alignment: Moon, Venus, Jupiter

The Night Sky Smiles

Heavenly Signs

Everywhere people

said did you see the night smile

Flags of the World

The two extremely bright lights in the sky look like stars, even though today we know they are the planets Venus and Jupiter. The import of such rare and prominent occurrences are affixed in the flags of some nations which show the moon plus a star those include: Turkey, Pakistan, Malaysia, Algeria, Mauritania, and Tunisia.

Conjunctions: No Coincidences

As I write this hubpage, a message from my teacher Jeremy Sherr arrived, informing us of his healing work in Tansania, Africa. He has been working with AIDS patients, getting results through the quantum physical energy of homeopathy, and asks for our assistance.

His project, called 'Homoeopathy for Health in Africa' has already treated 40 patients as of December 2008, with one former patient totally negative, and others making progress. This is his mission:

  1. To treat as many AIDS patients as possible (A minimum of 500, hopefully much more)
  2. To find out if AIDS in Africa is an 'epidemic' or not.
  3. If it is, to find a genus epidemicus.
  4. To spread the knowledge gained throughout Africa and the world.
  5. To establish a research program that will validate his work scientifically.

You can learn MUCH MORE about the healing work of AIDS and other Disease on Jeremy Sherr's Website that is part of the Tanzania Ireland Alternative Medicine Project.

They are short on funds and need money for the clinics, the school, remedies, equipment, translators and administrators. Any financial help is appreciated. Donations can be made on Jeremy's website and you can email Liz Norman at liz@dynamis.edu.

For US/Canada clinic/school  questions and donor referrals or for information about the research study contact Tina: Project Manager.

To donate tax free send a check directly to one of his affiliated charities in England and the USA to the attention of Jeremy Sherr's "Homeopathy for Health in Africa" project.

For further information visit the TIAM Project website

Jeremy will be updating everyone of the progress on his blog
