Hair Care Treatment - How To Fix Dry And Damaged Hair

Dry hair is a pain in the butt! It's something that's experienced my men and woman the whole world over. If hair is not properly moisturized, it's appearance quickly becomes dull and unexciting. This affects your entire appearance. When people meet you for the first time, they instinctively look up first! You want this first impression to be a good one don't you? Other than looks, dry hair has other negative factors on your life as well. Most notably it's really tough to manage. I've been late for work countless times because It took my half an hour to work through the knots in my hair. As mentioned, dry hair is pretty common problem experienced by many people. Most of us just aren't blessed with great hair! Luckily for us dry heads though, with the right conditioners, shampoos and stylers, anyone can have great hair! A lot of these products are readily available online as well... And for great prices!

Causes Of Dry Hair

Dry hair is caused by many factors that all of us experience in our day to day lives. I'll outline a few of the more common ones here. The first surprising thing that cause dry hair is the use of shampoo - or more accurately, the over use of it. Obviously we need to use shampoo to keep our heads clean but don't go crazy here! You don't need to use that much shampoo to wash your hair and keep it healthy. If you do insist on shampooing multiple times a day, make sure your not rubbing your head too hard. Nice, gentle strokes are the way to go here. Another thing that can cause damage to the hair are what I like to call "Environmental" factors. One of these to consider is the sun. UV rays can really damage your hair and create split ends and ugly roots. This is why we're seeing more and more shampoos and conditioners with "UV Protection". You wouldn't go out in the sun without protecting your skin would you? Everyone should be treating their hair the same way. Wind and sea salt are other things that I'd consider "Environmental". We all love swimming in the ocean but make sure you wash that nasty salt water out of your beautiful hair after you're done swimming. Hair color and dye also, understandably, has very negative effects on hair. Feel free to dye your hair, but don't do it often! Too many of my friends can't pick a color and end up looking for "The best hair dye" every weekend. As a result, they're left with breakage and dryness due to the chemicals in the products they insist on using.

Fixes For Dry Hair

Treating your dry or damaged hair isn't that difficult. It will require a bit of a lifestyle change on your part but the results are worth it. Your hair will be more manageable and less stressful. Your split ends will be gone and hair breakage will be a thing of the past. So how can I treat my damage hair?!?

Well, first of all scan your eyes upwards and read the section on Causes Of Dry Hair again. Now... Don't do this stuff! Stop dying your hair so frequently. Read the labels of the dye you buy as well. Make sure there aren't any nasty chemicals in there. In fact... You should be reading the labels of everything you use on your hair. Look for good stuff like "Rice Flour" and "Shea". Ingredients like these will leave your hair feeling silky and smooth. Stuff like "Vanilla" and "Green Tea" help to keep your hair lightly scented. Be careful when you're shampooing. Don't be too rough... Try to stay out of the sun as well. Where a hat if you have to. This way you'll protect your hair.

And on top of all this, you should be using some kind of a treatment. I prefer the leave in conditioners by Terax Hair Care. They have a few different lines for different types of hairs. If you're not fond of the Terax brand, then pick another! KMS, Fudge, Goldwell, Ojon, and American Crew all have a complete line of hair care products. They run all price ranges as well. Be careful with really cheap hair care treatment, though... Read some reviews online before making a selection...

Some Other Hair Care Tips

There is just an absolute ton of good information online. I've included a few recent stories below. Don't be afraid to explore on your own though! Check out forums for real reviews of different products. Be wary of some reviews that come from sites trying to sell you stuff though... They may just be after your money. You should check out some online stores when you're ready to buy hair care treatment though. A lot of them are hurting during these tough times and offer pretty good deals (ie. Free shipping, Buy one get one). Just shop around a bit before you make a choice...
