Hair Growth Vitamin

Vitamins play a greatly important role in the growth of hair. Vitamin deficiency can easily lead to hair loss. This is particularly true of B vitamins, such as B6, inositol, biotin and folic acid, as well as the minerals zinc, sulphur and magnesium. More important for hair growth are the B vitamins B5 and B3.

Some amino acids have proved to be essential in the thickening of hair. There can be adverse effects to taking vitamins, however. If they are not taken in their recommended dosage, they can actually cause hair loss. So keep in mind that the dosage of the vitamin taken is as important as the vitamin itself.

Taking more than 100,000 IU of vitamin A every day for a significant period of time can cause hair loss to begin. This problem is reversible, which is the good thing. Stopping the intake of vitamin A will reverse the trigger and stop the hair loss. Just like most other cases of vitamin deficiency, often correcting the cause will reverse the result. Men who show B6 deficiency tend to lose their hair. Some men go completely bald as a result of folic acid deficiency.

Essential Vitamins For Your Hair

Some essential fatty acids are needed in small amounts for hair growth and to improve the overall texture of the hair. It also prevents hair from becoming dry and brittle. Some good sources of essential fatty acids are found in primrose oil, flaxseed oil and salmon oil.

B vitamins are the largest group of vitamins that promote the healthy growth of hair. Foods that are rich in these vital B vitamins are peas, beans, carrots, soy beans, nutritional yeast, cauliflower, bran, eggs and nuts. Taking B vitamin supplements and complex is recommended to get the additional B vitamins that aren’t found in food for the best results.

Biotin is another vitamin that is important in maintaining and improving the health of your hair. It can prevent hair loss in some men. Eating foods high in biotin can be done easily, as it is found in a wide variety of foods, such as brown rice, green peas, oats, soybeans, lentils, bulgur, brewer’s yeast, walnuts and sunflower seeds. Hair care products and pills are also available that can provide biotin in supplementary forms.

Inositol is a vital vitamin for hair growth. Vitamin C is important for improving the blood circulation of the scalp, which helps the growth of hair by maintaining a steady supply of blood to the hair follicles.

Vitamin E is required for hair growth as it improves oxygen uptake, and therefore increases the blood circulation of the scalp. It can help improve the health and growth rate of hair. Zinc is a mineral that is essential to hair growth as it enhances immune function, which is related to hair growth.

Coenzyme Q10 improves scalp circulation and tissue oxygenation, so that hair does not die easily and fall out. L-methionine and L-Cysteine are two of the essential amino acids that improve the texture and quality of hair and at the same time enhance its growth process and prevent hair fall and hair loss.
