Finding the Best Hair Loss Product to Fit Your Needs
66In these times there are more ways to have a good product due to the more advanced technologies that are available. Technology has become more cost effective and because of this more testing can be done which makes the products affordable. These advances can easily be seen in the hair loss industry. There have been many new products that actually work introduced to the public in the last twenty or so years. They are so good, that finding the best hair loss product is not as easy as there are so many of them.
In past times, there were no guaranteed products that would stop balding or grow new hair. There were wigs or toupees that could be worn to cover the bald spot, but there were no cures. There was nothing that could be done to regain lost hair either.
Many of the products that were offered at the time were simply placebos that had no real effect on the hair loss. People just spent their hard earned money with no difference at all. This still happens today, which is why it is important to know what works and what does not.
It was common to hear that the reason for balding was the suffocating of the hair follicle. Many men quit wearing hats for fear that they would go bald. In an era where it was the custom to have the head covered, men would simply forgo the hat. For women, wigs were a fashion item that quickly lost its appeal for fear of balding.
Now we all know that genetics are the main cause of male and female balding issues. This is an issue that is handed down through generations and until the hair loss begins, it can not be treated. As a person begins to lose hair, then they can begin taking measures that will abate this loss before it is problematic.
There are two specific types of products that have been
proven to work well. The first comes by
way of shampoos or lotions that are applied directly to the head to stimulate
hair growth. The other is an oral tablet
that is taken once or twice a day to delay balding. This works by getting the medication in the
system to repair the hair follicle.
Rogaine is the most common form of the topical hair loss product that can be found today. This product has been around for decades and can be purchased at any store and is made for both sexes. You can find it at your local discount store to get an even better bargain.
When it comes to the oral hair loss product, Propecia is the most widely known. This is a tablet that is taken that will help stop balding and in some cases will help new hair to grow. There are male hormones that are used to make this happen. Because of this, there are some side effects when using this product. One of these is impotency in men. There are also rumored side effects for women in regards to birth defects in their children. For best results, consult with your doctor to make sure it is right for you.
