58Temporary Hair Removal Methods: Waxing
One of the most known methods of removing the excess hair is waxing. Waxing consists of covering your hairy areas of the body with strips of warm wax, then, after it gets cold, pulling it off the skin in the opposite direction of the hair growth, thus removing the hairs from their roots.
Waxing is of two categories: with warm wax, which is in fact a mixture of pure bees wax or parrafin and colophonium, or with unique use wax bands, which are at a lower temperature, but adhere very well to the hairs.
The advantages of waxing are that you get very smooth legs or arms, and the hairs grow slowly. Such epilatory sessions can give good results up to four weeks after the procedure.
The disadvantage is that the procedure is stinky and painful, at least the first time you do it, when the hairs are stronger. After you get used to it, it's OK. Due to the strange smell, it is not advisable to do it at home, but in a cosmetic center.

Permanent Hair Removal: Laser
The laser hair removal method is a permanent one, which means that your hairs won't regrow after you finish the laser treatment. However, you have to keep in mind that laser hair removal is not the cheapest procedure of all, and at least six sessions are required before the effect becomes permanent and the hair never grows back again.
I don't know how painful it is, as I've never tried it, but I've read that it hurts less than waxing, and that the exposure to the laser energy does not have any long-term side effects.

I'm seriously thinking about having laser hair removal done because I really hate shaving and waxing is pretty painful to me. The downside to laser as far as I can see is the cost :-(
