Hair Transplant Doctors & How To Choose The Right One

It is easy to accept that any doctor will do all they can to do right by you. It is important to make a point that the physician you chose to perform the hair transplant process is board certified, as there are some that are dishonestly trying to make a fast dollar. Mind high pressure sales tactics - an example would be when a "special promotion" is run giving you a lower price if you have the operation done by a certain future date. Most respectable doctors charge a fair price for the hair transfer surgical process and so do not need to discount it.

Another situation is when you go to the office and the physician or someone else in his office won't accept no for a response, but any good, professional physician is aware that it is your choice to decide. If your doctor visit begins with your seeing a sales representative or someone who is not linked to health care, you should avoid going to that sort of physician. For surgery you need someone who guide you properly to make your mind up about the surgical process and don't need that one who only sell you a schedule on getting hair transfer procedures done. If your doctor has no specific good stories to tell about hair transplant surgical process they have done so you need to see before and after photos and a way to contact former patients. It is a major commitment you are making, if at all possible, you need to be able to visit with recipients the doctor has treated so they can show you the results in person and remember you are not asking too much.

If your physician tells you to test a few hair transplant grafts and then make a decision, don't do this because this is not good thing since after you begin grafting, you are obligated to finish the whole process or your hair will look lopsided. Don't use a doctor who won't take heed to what you have to say since an excellent doctor is aware of how serious you are about a hair transplant. He will respond to your questions about hair transfer with knowledgeable answers and will also try to determine what your prospects are and whether they are realistic. If the physician says the hair transplant will cost an exorbitant amount of time or money, be wary and have a basic idea of the going rates before you make this decision. On the other hand, if the physician talks about how little it will cost and how quick and easy it will be, be suspicious of that too because the real answer should lie somewhere in the middle.

Not every story about a hair transfer is a nice story and if the physician you talk to promises that all his results are, don't believe what he says. Almost every physician has some procedure that has gone wrong to some degree and a good doctor will admit this and provide a plan to prevent it. Some hair transfer tales would have you reconsidering undergoing the procedure. But, it isn't a great example of the quality work that the majority of hair restoration doctors perform, so be certain to locate an expert surgeon.
