A Look at the Most Effective Hair Loss Treatments Available

Hair loss is a problem that most middle ages men will face at some point. The lucky few with good genetics may not face this problem, but for the rest of us, hair loss is an expected event.

However, this doesn’t have to be the case. You can take a proactive stance through various hair loss treatments. You don’t have to endure hair loss problems such as male pattern baldness.

There are different methods of fighting hair loss out there. This hub will discuss the most viable hair loss treatments. The most common method used today is by ingested hair loss medications. Unfortunately, these ingested medications are only really effective from the early to mid stages of hair loss. Hair loss can be caused by a variety of factors and while some of them can be treated with hair loss pills and other ingested hair loss medications, some of these factors cannot.

There are other hair loss treatments available, but these are more expensive but much more effective in extreme hair loss cases.

Hair Loss

Hair Transplants

The oldest and simplest way to treat hair loss is through surgical hair implants. Long ago, this was a painful and only partially successful hair loss remedy, but modern science and medical technology have greatly evolved the past decade. These days, the full hair follicle can be transferred to the scalp rather than a simple graft. This is a very effective way to eliminate hair loss, but it’s quite expensive. It’s probably the best long term method of treating hair loss.

Besides hair transplants, there are also artificial hair transplants for people who want to eliminate bald patches on their scalp for cosmetic reasons. These synthetic stands are much tougher than regular hair and thus don’t feel “right” to the touch (mind like a wig does when touched). As a long term solution, this is only mildly effective because it doesn’t address the actual hair loss problem. This type of surgery is popular though because artificial hair fibers last longer than natural hair.

Hair loss medication

Another hair loss treatment that’s effective is direct scalp hair loss medication. This hair loss treatment, however, can be expensive because it requires frequent trips to the clinic to have the medication massaged onto the scalp. The treatment is wonderfully effective though for hair loss caused by improper hair care and environmental factors (pollution, excess sun, etc). Direct scalp hair loss medication is pretty much effective for any type of hair loss other than inherited baldness.

I find that direct scalp treatment medication helps to keep both the scalp and the hair on the scalp both clean and healthy. Many people report hair regeneration over any bald spot the medication is constantly applied to.

Besides actual hair loss medication, there are special hair loss shampoos (both natural and synthetic) that help to promote hair growth. The effectiveness varies, but many people some good results with the best hair loss shampoos on the market.

Reduce Stress to Treat Hair loss

Hair loss can also be caused by too much stress. If you work a high pressure, stressful job, or are experiencing constant stress, you need to try and treat this problem. Treat your stress and you will indirectly help to stop your hair loss. One of the best ways to counter stress is to check into a health spa resort. Health spas give you a variety of full body relaxation treatments and powerful herbal remedies applied to your skin – and scalp. You can even expect scalp massages and detoxification treatments. All of these will help to reduce your stress. Over time, you may find your hair starts to regrow!

Diet Hair Loss Treatment

Now, the last hair loss treatment I want to mention is diet. Diet can play a big role in the health of your scalp and hair. This is perhaps the cheapest option but also the most difficult to pursue because it requires serious dedication. Eating healthy is not easy – but if you want maximum hair loss prevention, you should pursue a healthy diet.

The type of foods you want to eat will be rich in both zinc and calcium. These foods help to promote healthy hair growth.

There are various hair loss supplements and hair loss vitamins you can consume which will give your body the needed nutrients to strengthen and regenerate hair.

These are the basic hair loss treatments you can pursue to stop hair loss problems. The key is to try as many treatments as possible, combining diet, hair loss medications, and stress control to stop hairloss and start to regrow your hair. If everything else fails, you can always consider hair transplants as the last resort solution.
