Hair Growth Is Natural, So Is Hair Loss
71How’s Your Hair? Is It Lackluster Or Thinning? Herbs And Alternatives Can Help.
Hair growth is a natural thing, so is hair loss but treating hair loss with hormones isn’t natural or, if you look at the side effects, a good idea. Some years ago a friend of mine began using steroids to increase muscle mass. The side effect was Alopecia, complete bodily hair loss.
Did you ever read or listen to the side effects that go along with hormonal based hair loss products? You may grow some new hair but, since impotence and erectile dysfunction are some of the side effects, if running her fingers through your hair is the only satisfaction your lady friend gets, what good is it? Testosterone levels and hair follicle (root) suffocation are the two leading causes of hair loss and lack of hair regeneration in men. High levels of testesterone causes baldness. High levels of estrogen increases hair growth in males. All hormones, in their proper balance, are necessary for good health. Out of control or out of balance, they can be the cause of many problems including a long list of degenerative diseases. In 1984 my barber told me, “Getting thin up here.” In 2001 my barber told me, “Getting a little thin up here.” It is thinner now, 23 years later, but it probably would be non-existent if I hadn’t known the following. The herb Rosemary has been used for baldness, hair luster, thicker hair and general hair and scalp health. Many shampoos contain Rosemary, usually in small amounts, and are generally more expensive than the same shampoo without it. Here’s how you can use your favorite shampoo and have the benefits of Rosemary without the high price.Rosemary grows profusely in many areas of the world. Find a friend who has a plant and start yours from a slip (trimming). Putting the slip in a jar of water for a couple of days before planting seems to help jump-start it. Or, use whatever technique works best for you. You can buy Rosemary plants at a garden store. Give the plant plenty of elbowroom because it can grow quite large. Besides being good for the hair, Rosemary has other health benefits, smells nice when used as a sachet or crushed for the essential oils and makes a good tasting healthful tea. After the rosemary is big enough, pick a handful and place in a jar with water and put it out in the sun for a day or two. Make your rosemary tea or mixture for your hair the same as you would make “sun tea.” After washing your hair and it’s still slightly wet use anywhere from a bottle cap to ? cup of your Rosemary tea on your hair by pouring it on and massaging it around until your entire head is wet. Allow to air dry. If you towel your hair dry it will require more rosemary to do the same job. You should notice your hair is fuller, softer and has more body after the first application. I’ve never heard of any adverse reactions or side effects from topical Rosemary use.Copyright © 2007 Larry R. MillerShare it! — Rate it: up down [flag this hub]
