Every year around late September and early October, my kids and friends always ask the same question. "What should I be for Halloween?" For the past five years, I've been compiling a full list for them based on what is published in newspapers and what Halloween costumes stores think are hot outfits for the year. I also originate my own list based on what think will be popular for the year based on current events like popular movies, TV shows, politics, and trivia. For kids, teens, and men's Halloween costumes, movie blockbusters like Batman Dark Knight, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Kung Fu Panda, and Clone Wars are safe bets whereas for TV shows, hits include Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus, and High School Musical. For boys, video games are also popular including the mega hit Halo 3. For women, year in and year out, it is sexy costumes that everyone is looking for - who can argue with that?
