Children love getting dressed up for Halloween and going Trick-or-Treat 'ing. They love getting either makeup put on them or dressing up as their favorite cartoon character or hero. So, where can you find great Halloween costumes for your kids at great prices? The answer is online.

A lot of the Halloween shops that get setup around town are usually overpriced and you can get much better deals by shopping and comparing prices online. The most popular auction sites usually have what you are looking for and you can still get those costumes in time for the big night.

What are some good Halloween Costumes for Kids?

Well, most boys will usually go for the superhero type costume such as Superman, Spiderman, even Harry Potter. Girls will go with your Disney princess such as Cinderella, Ariel the little mermaid, or even Pop Princess Hannah Montana.

Do compare prices online from the halloween online stores and compare with auction sites such as Ebay.

Halloween Safety - Tips to Keeping it Safe on Halloween

Halloween has always been one of my favorite "holidays"...even though its really not a holiday. I guess you could call it a celebration. You want to make sure your kids are safe. Following are the top tips to keep yourself and your children safe on Halloween:

Be Seen. Always make sure that you can be seen by cars at night. A good way to make sure you're seen is to wear bright colored costumes.

Make sure your Child can see where he/she is going. Some of those masks with cutouts holes for eyes can make it real difficult for your child to see. You don't want them tripping while crossing the street and putting themselves in harms way. Try using face paints instead. Children always love getting their face painted anyways.

Carry Glow Sticks or Flashlights. Anything that lights up can help cars see where your child is. The more your child is visible, the better. Most kids love using flashlights or carrying glowsticks.

The Candy: Most parents already know this about Halloween...but it is worth repeating. Always make sure the bags of candy are inspected before letting your child eat any of it. Make sure the candy has not been opened and that wrappers are on the candies.

The Cellphone. A big percentage of the population now have cell phones. Take your cell phone with you on Halloween night in case something does happen and you need to call 911.
