Yes, really! I don’t know about your dog, but my dog loves to be at the center of attention. She loves the kids making a big fuss about her. We like to take her along with us when the kids go trick-or –treating. As we were buying Halloween costumes for the kids, we came across Halloween Pet Costumes. We were hesitant at first, but the kids were so excited about the thought of their dog dressing up along with them, that we couldn’t resist.

Our lab was a little unsure about the whole thing at first, but the kids made such a fuss about her, that she started to enjoy having the costume on. She was Spiderdog! My oldest dressed up as Spiderman and we went out trick-or-treating in the neighborhood.

What a hoot! Everyone we met thought it was adorable! She even got some treats herself! A couple of the houses had us wait a moment, while they grabbed a dog treat for her. My kids were so proud of their dog and they loved being the hit of our neighborhood Halloween parade

Some people thing that Halloween pet costumes are stupid, but not us! We, and our dog, had so much fun that we do it every Halloween. Even as the kids are getting older and going out by themselves around our neighborhood, the dog still goes out with them with her pet costume on, and I feel so much better that they have our dog with them. I know she would protect them. She really is their superhero!

But Halloween pet costumes are great even if you don’t have kids. It would really tickle the little ones that come to your door to see your pet all dressed up.

I always thought it would be a fun thing to do, just to have a party for the neighborhood and invite all of the kids and the dogs. That way you could have a controlled Halloween event, if trick-or-treating wasn’t a good idea for your neighborhood. Wouldn’t that be a great party to have the kids and the pets in their costumes? That would be a picture for the family scrapbook!
