Halloween at Walt Disney World Florida
76Halloween is one of the best times to visit Walt Disney World in Florida. Most of the Halloween activities in Disneyland take place during the after dark from 7pm to 11 pm when the weather is perfect. The fireworks and after dark parades at the Magic Kingdom are equally enchanting and the song "Boo to You" sticks out in my mind from the parade last year. The Magic Kingdom is a great place to see the players dressed up in their multitude of costumes from Donald Duck to Maleficent to Cruella deVille and more, but during the Halloween celebration you and your children get to dress up and play a part in the magic of the Magic Kingdom.
During the parades, the players distribute candy to the children lining the parade route and after wards, you can stroll through the park, enjoy the rides and trick or treat at various locations.

Highlights of Halloween at Disneyland
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Parade:
One of the highlights of the evening, but by no means the end of the night, the parade showed a different side of Disney. Come see your favorite characters dressed up in their Halloween costumes! The floats feature Disney Villains as well as your beloved Disney friends. The Haunted Mansion float is incredible. Arrive early for the parade as many of the first children receive free glow-in-the-dark buttons promoting the night from Disney staff. Opening with the ride of the "Headless Horseman" down the parade route that included Main Street and Frontierland, the parade then featured many of the characters you love to hate. You'll see a collection of Disney villains, mummies, spiders and other scary floats. There are even some unfortunate Dalmatians, fresh in their kennel, after being apprehended by you know who. The parade then takes a turn away from the "dark side" to a fall festival look. Many floats and Disney's "good" characters appear on floats in traditional autumn/harvests settings helping end the festivities on a happy and upbeat note.
Happy HalloWishes Fireworks:
This year you'll see the Disney Villains as they "trick or treat" in the sky.
Trick-or-Treating:
Guests are given Trick or Treat Bags to be used at the candy stations found throughout the Magic Kingdom. Your children (and many parents) wear their favorite costumes and trick or treat throughout the park at many of the designated trick or treat stations. Disney employees seemed to be everywhere distributing goodies to the delight of youngsters.
Free family photograph, free face painting will add to the excitement.
