Halo For XBox

The third segment of the Halo for Xbox trilogy has begun. The war is on to save the galaxy from a parasitic monster, an alien nation, and the launch of a network of devastating devices that could completely destroy all living things. However, perhaps a recap is in order to understand how the story has progressed and the situation the characters now face.

The Halo for Xbox conflict continues at a second Halo installation where a civil war erupts when a commander of the Covenant forces is disgraced and stripped of his rank. He is then forced to put on the Armor of the Arbiter, a custom that sends a fighter on a suicide mission to regain his honor. Shortly after this happens, the Arbiter discovers that the Prophets, the leaders of the Covenant, have been lying to their faithful followers about the Halos and the Great Journey, which doesn't really exist. He gathers a group of fighters, known as the Elites, and joins humanity in the battle against the Covenant.

In the meantime, a horrific parasitic monster, the Flood, has been awakened by the Covenant's actions and is a threat to all living things. The Flood kills every breathing creature and turns them into a controlled army of terrifying puppets intent on eradicating all life forms and taking over the galaxy. The Arbiter has learned that not only was the Great Journey a lie, but that the Halos would destroy everything in the galaxy including the Flood, who has become one of the Covenants greatest enemies and must be eliminated as well as the heretics. Halo for Xbox enters its final chapter.

The second Halo has been activated and additional Halo sites are in emergency mode and ready to launch. Planet Earth has been discovered by the Covenant who believe all the secrets to the Halo network are hidden there. Their forces are sent to Earth and annihilate almost all human defenders in the attempt to find the concealed information they seek. The Flood has also invaded Earth to conquer his enemies and take over the galaxy. The only hope to save humanity lies in the capability of the Master Chief, the Arbiter, and the Elite to defeat the Covenant, the Flood, and disable the Halo network. Can you end Halo 3 for Xbox successfully and save mankind?
