There is another new Halo game coming out and I’m not talking about Halo 3: ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Troopers). The new game under development is called Halo Reach. Reach is the name of the planet the game takes place on. I’ve done some researching and found out that the game is a prequel to the original trilogy.

Some people believe this game is a continuation of the story stating that the planets in the background of Halo 3’s ending and the video for Halo Reach are the same. Also stating that the ship is the same ship that Master Chief was in at the end of Halo 3. The craziest part is that they are also saying that somehow Master Chief travels back in time and that’s why he’s at the planet Reach, but Bungie (the company that makes the game) has already said that the game is a prequel.

In the new video for Halo Reach a Spartan called “Sierra 259” answers the radio call for help and in the other Halo games you play as a Spartan “Master Chief” aka “ Sierra 117” proving that this game is a prequel. Halo 3: ODST will have an invitation to the multi-player beta for Halo Reach. Halo Reach releases sometime in 2010.

In case you don’t know about Halo 3: ODST it is a standalone expansion of halo 3 and is set before Halo 3.  Instead of playing as Master Chief you play as a ODST Solider.  You do not have the same armor or strength as a Spartan which will make the game play different. Being more vulnerable to gunfire, you can’t jump in guns a blazing and take out 15 guys the game will focus on stealth.  Halo 3: ODST Release 9/22/09
