Hancock tells the story of a superhero that hasn't had much luck in life. Though he has tried to do well, the result of his actions has done nothing but create widespread property damage throughout the city of Los Angeles.

It isn't until he saves a public-relations spokesperson that things turn around. Instead of thinking that he is alone in the universe, he learns that he is not alone.
