I have had my laptop(Toshiba) for almost six years and love it. The only disadvantage I had was it would get too warm on my lap. In 2006, I asked my hubby if I drew up a simple design, would he please try to make me a stand for the laptop.

I drew up a basic design that I felt would be fairly easy to make. He found an old cabinet door in the shed for the main top. The side legs were designed with built in handles. The tray side has a lip to keep the laptop from sliding off. He did a wonderful job of making the stand and I love it.

My husband is very talented in the jack of all trades area, but doesn't acknowledge it. We are always doing, do it yourself things that save us lot of money.
