So often I am home alone and need to hang a frame. Most of the frames given to me as gifts are very heavy and somewhat bulky. Putting photos in the back of the frame itself is not a difficult task but trying to hang the frame so it's evenly positioned from the floor to the ceiling and centered when doing this alone is difficult.

I would like to see a device that is made of wood or metal which stands on the floor and has a slot in the front that can hold the frame so a person can stand back away from the frame to see if the frame is in the right location. This stand would have a knob on the side that will allow the stand to move up or down again securing proper placement on the wall. Something similar to an artist's easel.

Next step would be to use a pencil to lightly pencil the wall where the frame needs to be placed. This would be a terrific aid when home alone and not able to lift a heavy frame alone and mark the wall.

I've had as many as 10 nail holes in the wall from trying to measure, lift and secure a frame on the wall. My wall ends up looking like a dart board so any help to make this job easier is an item I would definitely buy and use.
