Hannah Montana Bedroom Decorating Tips
72
Hannah Montana is my grandaughter Zoe's idol right now. We were talking about decorating her room in a Hannah Montana theme recently and she and I came up with some fun ideas and she wanted me to share them, so 'we' wrote these tips:
The color scheme is Hannah Montana Green, Pink and Blue. We tried to come up with basic floors, walls and bedding so the theme can be easily changed if your fan outgrows the dcor.
WALLS: Paint one green (or all of the walls green, or mix up the colors, theres no law that says all the walls have to be the same color). Draw or stencil a Pink guitar on the wall with blue flames. Add details with glitter glue. Add a blue microphone with glitter glue accents.
This mural will look nice over the bed as a head-board. It doesn't have to be perfect - funky is fun!
Tape off the walls horizontally and paint the top green and bottom blue, etc. Stencil musical themes, notes, lines, stars around where the colors meet. Silver or sparkles will punch it up.
FLOOR: Green carpet with a pink flower-shaped throw rug. Or use a Hannah Montana rug or flower shape on wood floors.
WINDOWS: A window can be a stage'. Install curtain rods that stick out from the wall at least eight inches. We chose pink fabric, just measure out the length from rods to floor, purchase twice that amount of fabric, plus six inches. Hem the top with rod pockets. Make a simple wood box the width of the window and about two feet deep and ten-inches tall. Paint the box one of your colors, we chose pink. It can be a play stage' or add pillows for a window seat. Glue star-shaped mirrors on the curtains for extra drama.
DOOR: Paint the back (inside) of the door the same as the wall, add a Hannah Montana Poster and stickers, so when the door is closed the theme will be complete.
CLOSET DOOR: If you have a solid closet door, add an oval full-length mirror and paint flowers and a frame' around it with the corresponding colors and stars.
NIGHTSTAND: Buy a small decorative table and make or buy a Hannah Montana table cloth. I'm fairly certain there is Hannah Montana fabric out there.
LAMP: A pink lamp with a white shade can be decorated with glitter glue and/or stickers on the lamp and/or the shade.
BED: Add solid sheets of your choice of colors - buy two sets of different colors and use one top and the other color on the bottom. A solid pink bedspread with Hannah Montana toss pillows.
ACCENTS: Paint a photo frame or jewelry box to match the theme and add stickers or mirror stars, glitter, etc.
Involve your little fan in as much of the planning and creating as you can and keep a photo or video diary of your adventure. Have fun, because that's what it's all about!

That sound really nice young kids should love it. As you say they need to change it as they grow older. Much better than bright red or black walls that I have seen in bedrooms.
