Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus mania!!! For the moms of pre-teens (actually all ages), you will understand what I am talking about and how big is Hannah Montana's aka Miley Cyrus' followers. My daughter is the biggest one. After school, she's tuned in to the Hannah Montana show; listens to her CD (ex., Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus) all the time. For the last month she has been begging me to buy her the Hannah Montana wig. One weekend she went to a celebrate her friend's birthday and they were given a gift card at Claire's as a thank you gift. With the gift card and her own money, she purchased the Hannah Montana wig. Finally!!! My friend commented that she has never seen anyone so happy to have the wig. A week later she received a package from her grandparents. Guess what she got for Valentines? A Hannah Montana wig from Disney Store. Now she is really giddy with joy; having two wigs to play with complemented by several Hannah Montana outfits. Here she is pretending to be Hannah Montana......

So what is the big deal with Hannah Montana? Here are some tidbits about Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana. Miley is 15 years old; she grew up in Nashville before moving to Los Angeles. She comes from a tightly knit family; appears in Hannah Montana show with her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, who also plays her dad in the show. She is very down to earth; a vegetarian; she donates from the proceeds of her concerts to City of Hope which is a charity that helps fight cancer. She shops at Target; wears hand me downs from Ashley Tishdale who is also a superstar from the hit show High School Musical. She prefers to wear sweatshirts than dress up. She does sleepovers and hangs out with friends just like any young girl would do.

I have never bought movie tickets online until now! My daughter and her friend wanted to see the movie concert when it first came out. She was afraid the movie concert will be sold out. Sure enough the time we wanted to go was sold out. So I ended up going online to buy our tickets for the following day's show.

During the show, Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert movie, I see all these girls who dream of becoming Miley Cyrus when they grow up. After watching the show, I thought to myself how big of a responsibility this girl had shouldered to put a concert like this. Granted that she has all the help she can get but ultimately she has to carry the show. She has to put herself out there and the success of the show rests on her young shoulder. I think she has proved herself to be a remarkable girl. When I read all the things about what other young stars are doing these days; the negative and sometimes self-destructive behaviors they do, I think Miley Cyrus sets a good example for young girls. I hope she continues on her path to success with the same level head; that she will continue to be a role model for young girls. To those of you who have not seen the movie concert yet, bring your child to see the movie. I bet she will have fun and so will you! I enjoyed it as much as my daughter and her friend.
