Hansika Motwani did a number of TV serials like Ekta Kapoor’s ‘ Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ before coming to bollywood. She was a apart of the popular kids show on Star Plus called ‘Shaka laka boom boom’. She was very appreciated for her acting in the serial ‘Des Me Nikla Hoga Chand’. She played the character of Tina very well. She was also a part of Zee TV’s ‘Tum Bin’.
She also took part in Celebrity Fame Gurukul, a singing competition among some other celebrities for charity. Though she was not a very good singer, Hansika noted that she accepted to be a part of the show because she wanted to do something for the children of Make-A-Wish Foundation.
She got her movie break with a brief role in "Koi... Mil Gaya" {2003} starring along side Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta and acted in two more movies that year, "Hum Kaun Hai?" {2004}, starring alongside Amitabh Bachchan; "Aap Ka Suroor" {2007}, opposite Himesh Reshammiya; and "Desamuduru" {2007}, a Telugu movie starring opposite Allu Arjun.Presently, Hansika is playing opposite NTR in Ashwinidutt produced Kantri.
