Dear Granny,

I wanted to take this time to wish you a Happy Birthday in Heaven. It has been nearly seven months since you left us and went to live with Jesus. Each day seems to bring forth a few more challenges. Just wanted to update you on the family. Meg & Collin celebrated their birthdays in August. Collin was a little upset, he said it was because you weren't there. I assured him that you really were watching us from Heaven and you were sending down your smile in the sunshine rays. Pop is doing okay too. He said he really misses the companionship that you two shared. Kathy is coping too. She just found out that she is diabetic, guess that may change the way she cooks and eats?

So Granny, what is it like up there? Is it as beautiful as we have heard? Are the streets all paved with gold? Do you hear the birds singing and chirping all of the time? What do the rainbows look like up there? Oh yeah, Meg says to tell you thanks for asking Jesus to send her two front teeth back down to her. She really smiles a lot; (that is when she is not talking). You know Granny she is a lot like you. She doesn't meet a stranger....

Mollee is getting ready for her new baby brother. He should be here in December. I know you'll have front row seats for that delivery too. Angela will know that you are in the room too when she sees his BIG BRIGHT BLUE EYES.

Amir is growing up. He is five now, and doing really well in school. Can you believe he actually sits and listens to the teacher? Hey Go-Go, are you sitting in the class with him, helping him to be still?

Well Granny I really hope you rock out in Heaven for your Birthday. You and Jesus and the whole Heavenly Gang, how COOL that must be. We are having a lot of events without you Granny. We had our 1st Easter, Mother's Day, Your's and Pop's anniversary, all of our Birthdays, Hey we even had the dinner at the lake; and now we are going to have a Party on your Birthday without you here. That is really sad. Maybe we can send some balloons up to Heaven. Do think you could reach out and catch them? We'll try to send them up along with lots of hugs and kisses too. Okay I haven't told you since you left us, I love you (I know I am still your favorite grandchild--it is okay we don't have to tell the other grandkids). Do yall have internet in heaven? I hope so, this note will get to you faster that way. Until we meet again, or you visit my dreams.... I Love You Granny.
