I started playing harp in 3rd grade. I mainly preform in the Christmas season, and love to make the "elderly smile". I have played every type of harp; including folk, petal, and concert grand. I have spent a year in a conservatory program( I will not go back, my mom made me, and everybody was at least 3 years older than me!) Playing is fun even though you are supposed to keep your fingers callused to prevent blisters:(. I have joined my teacher's ensemble through out the years, and the audience tell me t the end of every show how the have never seen so many harps in one room(14 at most). I strongly dislike how everybody thinks that they are the first to tell me that,how I stopped smiling in that part, and i could do with more chords. The most mportant thing is to keep smiling and tell everybody that I appreciate their comments, and will do better. I really do enjoy helping people even if its just to sit down and talk!!!
